"This is a fantastic group! Eric, the owner, is a veteran and gives an 11% discount in honor of Veterans Day. He is super knowledgeable about paint and does right by his customers! I thought I wanted a more complex paint and he talked to me about a better solution in areas where I didn’t need that level of paint up under the eaves. Our home had the original contractor paint and Eric educated me about why it was breaking down, even pointing out the builder used paint instead of stain on my arbor. My front door had fading hard from the sun, and Eric took care of that dir years to come. Lastly our fence was really starting to show wear early after only 5 years and Eric’s team fixed it up to last much longer. Can’t say enough great thinks about Eric and 360! Supporting him and his company is a win win for customers and for veterans. Thank you for your service Eric we appreciate you and your team!!"

"Chris did an incredible job for me. Exterior brick and siding along with some repair work. He also painted my deck, patio and porch. I have the best looking house on the block now. He was friendly but also professional at all times. He is doing my mother’s home next."

"Garrett W. was courteous, prompt, and professional. He did a great job with the drywall and tile repair and completed the work in a timely and efficient manner, with a focus on quality. I thought the price was reasonable for the work completed and I appreciated the courteous, responsive staff at Handyman Connection when I scheduled my appointment. I plan to go to Handyman Connection of Colorado Springs for future projects. Thanks Garrett!"

"Trevor did an excellent job cleaning our deck/patio areas (500SF of stamped concrete, 400 SF of Eon composite decking). Decking: 20 yrs old. Stamped concrete: 30 yrs old. He power washed the surfaces with a 2700 PSI power washer. Pwr washing removed the loose sealer, dirt, dust etc. He applied terracotta red & brown Quikcrete color product (Home Depot or Amazon). He also applied the brown Quikcrete product to highlight the grout lines which gives the appearance of flagstone. He followed with 2 coats of Behr sealer & applied 303 Aerospace Protectant (Amazon) to the Eon deck. The 303 Product really brings the “oak color” & wood grain. Trevor also re-stained the Hot tub wood, wood bench, & vertical surfaces (posts, paneling etc). See the enclosed pics for details. Pay close attention to the Co Spgs weather. Sealers can take a few hrs to dry."

"This crew has a very good work ethic, uses quality products, and pays attention to detail. I was especially impressed with the prep work they did in getting my stucco cracks repaired and the window and door seams sealed with the appropriate caulk. They were also precise with trim painting and cleaned things up well after the job."

"Derek first started working with us as the architect for a major deck renovation—replacing our back deck, adding a covered roof, a new front deck, and an upper deck off the main bedroom. It was a big project, and while the original deck company started to collapse mid-way through (unfairly pointing fingers at Derek), he stayed the course. Derek continued to communicate clearly, step in where needed, and ultimately saw the entire job through to completion—even installing a stunning tongue-and-groove ceiling on the back deck himself. He went above and beyond when others bailed, and we truly can’t thank him enough. Honest, talented, and committed—Derek’s the kind of professional you want on your team. We recommend him wholeheartedly."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Eggshell and satin finishes are best for porches because they sit in the sweet spot between scuffable matte and distracting high gloss. Your porch sees a fair amount of wear and tear, so you don’t want paint that’ll show every mark like matte, but you don’t want to be blinded by glossy paint in the sun either. Eggshell and satin have durability and a look that sits nicely in the middle.

You’ll need to restrain your deck when you notice fading, cracking, peeling, or mold and mildew over a moderate to large area, or when it’s become especially difficult to clean. As for how often to stain a deck, plan to do it every two to three years or whenever you start to notice extended damage.

You don't need to seal your deck after painting it because most exterior paints are waterproof and weather-resistant. While stealing is not necessary, it can add an additional layer of protection.

Waterproof paint creates a barrier to hold back moisture, but it doesn’t eliminate the source of the water. If you hire a basement waterproofing contractor, many will tell you that waterproof paint is only a temporary solution. On average, you can expect it to last from six months to two years in a wet basement before deteriorating.

Liquid rubber is great for waterproofing, but it can damage your deck if it’s not applied correctly. First, it can trap moisture in the wood if the deck isn’t completely dry before application.  Second, applying it too thickly can create a heavy, rubbery surface layer that peels and cracks under fluctuating temperatures. For the best results, ensure the wood is completely dry before application, and apply the liquid rubber in thin, even coats. A quick inspection every now and then will help you catch any issues early, keeping your deck protected and looking its best.
