Atticare Construction

Atticare Construction sent an unlicensed AND independent contractor to my home who absolutely botched the project. I have voice recording of them sending a technician, NOT a third party. I was also threatened by the CEO for defamation after filing with the Better Business Bureau if I do not withdrawal, and had to win a judgment in court for their undisclosed independent contractor to take the fall for Atticare Construction. Contractor State Licensing Board is aware of the event. STAY AWAY!

Work was done in a timely manner. I was informed of the process and any questions I had were answered. Friendly and professional staff.

Ralph( the owner) precisely made the measurements and calculated a quote and pushed me to agree which I did . a few days later his workers showed up and did the job but did not finish and because it was late they said they would come back next day and left. an hour later Ralph called me being very rude and said ;they are not coming back because he did not make much of money on my project and I live in a six million dollar house and I needed to pay an extra $500 for them to come back !! he was very rude, bad mouthing and unprofessional I do not recommend this company at all

Tom, the salesman/inspector, was great, showed up promptly to inspect. I received the quote via internet. Somehow the reply/acceptance form didn't interface with my PC. Tom was quick to do a work-around to get things moving. His crew came at the pre-agreed time and explained what they would be doing. They used plastic sheeting to protect carpet, wood floors and walls. They also created an air baffle curtains to prevent cool a/c air within the 2nd story. The back bedroom window was used as access for equipment and insulation, all the area there was covered with plastic sheeting All the insulation, old and new, was taken out and in thru a rear bedroom window, as was the large vacuum hose to vacuum the attic prior to sealing any air gaps. I was shown pictures of attic ~ before, in process and after. I strongly recommend this company. I had quotes above and below the cost and feel the professionalism of the inspector and the installers was top notch.

The initial estimate was given to me with a *we will match any lower price offer.* I did receive a lower offer so I contacted the company about it. They lowered the estimate but did not match the price. I still went ahead with the company to do the work. The installation team did a good job although one of the workers was swearing all the time during the work. In addition to insulation I asked for a ceiling fan install. The worker told me at the end they could not install due to access issues. I called, talked to a supervisor to discuss it with him. His call got dropped for some reason and about an hour later the fan was installed. I assumed they would connect the fan to the electrical wiring but they did not do it. They told me it was not part of the job which I feel should have been part of the estimate information. I had to hire an electrician to complete the electrical work. They also damaged my bathroom exhaust fan. I called to have it checked. They have a separate crew to fix problems after installations. The first guy came and made it work a little bit better. I called them back and second guy came and told me there is nothing wrong with their work, he took a video and said he would send it to his supervisor. I have not heard back from them. Overall the insulation work was good but the other parts of this work and service I received was not good.

Work was done right on time and everything was left clean at the end.

They pumped wet insulation into my walls. They left big holes in the walls. They won't call me back. I asked for upper management to call me back and they have not. Terrible service and workmanship.

Begining with you Eric G, your professionalism and attention to detail is what sold me on Atticare LA. I consulted with other companies before my final decision, but it was your non sales pressure that convinced me that I had found the right company for my project. The crew, led by Edgardo, delivered great service. I had an appointment time of between 8-9 a.m. on 26 Dec 2018. Edgardo called before he and the crew arrived slightly after 8 a.m. I was given a thorough explanation as to what was to happen before the work was started. The crew worked most expeditiously and completed the work in a very timely, efficient manor. My wife and I were both pleased by how well the crew cleaned up after the work was done. We hired atticare to take out our old insulation and replace it with new. The house was sweltering hot because the old insulation we had was dust. They were professional and helpful. Eric the project manager went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy with the job, sending an electrician to fix the doorbell that got damaged during the job even though I didn’t notice for weeks. The house feels so much cooler after the installation, much better investment than paying $10k to put in ac unit. In addition to the great work and awesome customer service, Eric shared information about how to apply for a $1400 rebate from dwp. We are applying and I doubt we would have found out about the program if it hadn’t been for atticare.

I'd already consulted with other insulation and ducting specialists when Tom from Atticare responded to my RFQ. During his onsite evaluation he was courteous, well spoken, informative and very transparent about costs. He quoted a very competitive price and was able to schedule the job within the same week of my request. Edgardo and his team came in later that week to do the job and worked diligently for a whole day under difficult conditions. I was particularly appreciative of how careful they were not to leave any mess behind. Him and his team were polite, efficient, and kept me informed about their progress every step of the way. Another example of Atticare's excellent customer service is with how they handle any damage incurred during the job. A couple recessed lights were dislodged as a result of the work and they immediately enlisted the help of their handyman to repair the damage at no charge. All in all they provided quality service quickly at a reasonable price.

They came early in the am and finished my 1400 sq home by 5 pm. Cleaned after them selfs and paint matched the color of the walls to perfection.

Be careful with this company. Was selling my parents home and per the buyers inspection the attic insulation had to be replaced. They came, completed the insulation, left a COMPLETE mess in the halls and 2 bedrooms, and totally destroyed the air ducts that were in the attic. As a result, it delayed the closing and added an additional $2000 to the cost of repairs because the air ducts, that we’re destroyed by AttiCare employees, had to be replaced. I refused to have them come back to replace the air ducts because they went up $900 in their cost to replace air ducts—from $1200 at the time of attic insulation job to $2100 after they destroyed them!! I will NEVER use this company again!
