"In July 2024 I hired Insulation Labs to add more insulation to our attic. They showed up on time with a truck full of insulation, and a few hours later they had put all of it inside our attic. They did a good job up there. I am very pleased with how everything turned out. One thing that distinguished Insulation Labs from some other outfits is that they did not try to up-sell us with services we didnâ t need."

"I love the insulation. My room has no insulation at all. Every time I entered the room after coming from work, it was like walking in an oven. With the insulation, my room now is cool in the afternoon. The price Pro Insulation, Inc. charged is reasonable. I just love it. It is a good investment."

"We had Insulation Nation (Dustin) come to our house to look at our attis insulation; our house was built in the late 70's and I had added more blown-in insulation many years ago. We decided on adding 8" of blown-in insulation to reduce our heating/cooling cost and to reduce the cycling of our HVAC system. They did a wonderful job of sealing any attic leaks, covers for our canned lighting fixtures, built a dam around our whole house fan, added baffles around our soffits, and added the insulation. Nicely done and a professional job. Would recommend using their service."

"After having a new air conditioning system installed, to replace an old inefficient one, we decided to make sure our attic had the correct insulation as well as the appropriate R-value. Since our home was built in the 1950's, the insulation throughout the attic was minimal. We hired Insulation Commandos to survey and provide us with the appropriate solution. The solution involved removal of the old insulation, cleaning the area, and installing the correct insulation based on our homes location. We now believe we can keep our energy costs down and provide less strain on our AC system. Great job team!"

"What a terrific company! All Type Insulation Services Inc team is extremely knowledgeable, reliable and courteous, and they offered some excellent solutions to the noise problems in my apartment. Ron was readily available and nothing was too much of a problem for him to handle. I would certainly hire them again and I strongly recommend them to any business or residence that has a noise issue and need insulation service."

"Overall great experience with my blow-in cellulose insulation project. David was courteous throughout, took time to explain the various insulation products, helped me decide what was best for my objective. The installation team was meticulous, from preparation (protecting floors and covering furniture) to a spotless cleanup. Price was competitive and fair. Highly recommend!"

"We hired atticare to take out our old insulation and replace it with new. The house was sweltering hot because the old insulation we had was dust. They were professional and helpful. Eric the project manager went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy with the job, sending an electrician to fix the doorbell that got damaged during the job even though I didn’t notice for weeks. The house feels so much cooler after the installation, much better investment than paying $10k to put in ac unit. In addition to the great work and awesome customer service, Eric shared information about how to apply for a $1400 rebate from dwp. We are applying and I doubt we would have found out about the program if it hadn’t been for atticare."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

If you need to insulate behind finished walls, the best option will likely be to have an insulation professional install blown-in insulation. The installation requires small holes cut in your wall, after which the installer can blow loose-fill insulation into the void. After the installation, you’ll have minor drywall patching, which shouldn’t cost more than $100. Compared to ripping down the existing drywall, using a different type of insulation, and replacing and finishing the drywall, this should save you hundreds or even thousands, depending on the size of the room you’re insulating.

Yes, professionals install and upgrade insulation for all home or business areas.

The life span of insulation is between 20 and 100 years. At that time, existing insulation can fall victim to gravity, resulting in compression, which reduces its insulating protection or R-value. If you can't simply add more insulation over the existing material, removing the old to increase the effectiveness of the new can reduce your energy bills and make the project worth the time and money investment.

Insulating under a concrete slab foundation is a great way to improve the energy efficiency of your home, but it isn't necessary for outdoor projects like driveways, patios, sidewalks, and walkways. If you’re pouring in cold weather, insulating under the slab can help prevent heat loss from the concrete, aiding in proper curing. Along with accelerants, this can be a good way to ensure strong concrete despite pouring in the cold.

Bathroom wall insulation not only keeps the area temperate, but it also reduces instances of mold, mildew, and rot. Bathrooms, after all, are havens for moisture. With this in mind, it’s absolutely worth it to insulate bathroom walls since it saves money in the long run. You won’t have to hire a pricey mold remediation service down the line. Also, insulation decreases outdoor noise and lowers energy costs.
