"We had Insulation Nation (Dustin) come to our house to look at our attis insulation; our house was built in the late 70's and I had added more blown-in insulation many years ago. We decided on adding 8" of blown-in insulation to reduce our heating/cooling cost and to reduce the cycling of our HVAC system. They did a wonderful job of sealing any attic leaks, covers for our canned lighting fixtures, built a dam around our whole house fan, added baffles around our soffits, and added the insulation. "After having a new air conditioning system installed, to replace an old inefficient one, we decided to make sure our attic had the correct insulation as well as the appropriate R-value. Since our home was built in the 1950's, the insulation throughout the attic was minimal. We hired Insulation Commandos to survey and provide us with the appropriate solution. The solution involved removal of the old insulation, cleaning the area, and installing the correct insulation based on our homes location. "Me and my husband live in a condo in Los Angeles. About 6 months ago the neighbors upstairs rented their condo. The new neighbors are a family with two kids who are very sweet, but like to wake up early and throw stuff on each other. (At least thatâ s what itâ s sounds likeâ ¦) we talked to a few different contractors, most have offered us to inject insulation to the ceiling. We tried it, as it was not expensive, but, this did almost nothing. My husband who has very light sleep kept waking up every day at 5, what made our life very difficult. His level of knowledge exceeded everyone else's, and he was wiling to make everything as clear as possible for us. "Tech who showed up to do inspection was thorough. Climbed into small attic, took pictures and explained what their findings were. Other inspections (I had 2 more) just popped their heads into the entrance and too my word for what may need to be done. Scheduling with Attic Construction was simple. They showed up on time (early). They let me peak up their as they cleaned up old insulation and remove rodent droppings (biggest concern). They finished within the day as promised and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. Our home was well protected from dings/damages as they wrapped corners of walls, stairs etc. We have noticed improvement from having only 3.5 inches of insulation to now nearly 14-15 inches. They recommended a "combo" of batt insulation (Around the entrance) and blown in for the rest of the area. This allows you to pop in there with out blown in insulation falling all over the place. They also recommended and performed rodent proofing/sealing. We were sent photos of both before and after their work. I would highly recommend this company."
