After finishing my excellent research about them, we hired them to make some significantly large repairs to our home. Oren was very up front about what needed to be done, and he listened to our concerns and ideas of what we need and want and then came up with a super detailed plan of what needed to be done. We found Oren as a very honest, professional, easy to work with person, competent, and extremely knowledgeable about his trades. Oren was present and working with his teams almost all the time they were present. Oren always answered his phone right away whenever we had questions (and believe us we had so many questions and comments). Our repairs and construction job required expertise in many aspects of construction at our home. From framing, waterproofing, stucco, structural repairs, tile work, drywall painting etc. all of which got done in a great and timely manner. We do a lot of our own repairs , and have had many contractors doing projects too, but we found SOD Home Group to be by far the best construction company we have ever seen or worked with. Their prices are fair, their work is excellent, on time, clean and the quality is fantastic. Oren is knowledgeable about whatever he is working on and always kept me updated on whatever aspect of the job he was working on. A wonderful person to work with. The type of materials, the paint of the walls, the combination of the cabinets and more and more… were picked up one by one to deliver us a ‘look like new‘ home. AAA Mike Counsil Plumbing and RooterI use Counsil for the quality of their work and trust them to do it to highest city inspection standards. I had to do two replacement sewer lines. Counsil plumbing did the digging, plumbing and cement work with same people; the other contractor did plumbing, subcontracted sleeving sewer line and subcontracted concrete work. Counsil left the house as he found it. The other contractor left trash, rebar and wood and never came back. Counsil used a price master and a detailed contract, the other contractor gave me verbal price which became opaque. I use Counsil when i need quality work that meets inspection specifications and am willing to pay for it.- algis r.

SOD Home GroupI wasn't planning a kitchen remodeling project any time soon, but a water leak caught me by surprise. When the remediation team was done I was left without a kitchen. This happened in April, when much of the city was shut down amid COVID crisis--probably the worst timing possible. I spoke to few other contractors but SOD Home Group really stood out due to great reviews and their positioning as a designer builder. Turned out it was the right decision--the team that I worked with were smart, professional, courteous, flexible, and super nice. The project manager, Oren Dagan, coordinated and executed with poise and a great sense of humor. Oren also went above and beyond in providing really valuable design recommendations throughout the project. The end result is a kitchen that looks and functions exactly as I want it to. She was able to schedule me for my broken water heater within a couple of hours. The technician Justin arrived on time (10:40am in a 10am-12pm window), after calling ahead to let me know he was en route (by my request). He was friendly, informative and patient in answering my many questions about water heaters. I appreciate that I received texts and emails to update me that the job was scheduled, when my technician was en route, and with my receipt once the job was finished. Justin replaced the thermo-couple on my broken 10-year-old water heater and also flushed the tank. The latter is a bit time-consuming but the price was reasonable. He fixed a float that needed repair and inspected the sewer line to ensure that it was not blocked. the service men were very polite and respectful. they explained each step carefully and even came before we expected them to (after calling).

The first visit lead to cleaning the area around the heater and burners and checking the thermocouple. Sadly that seemed to make it worse. Less than a week later No hot water for over 30 hours till the second technician replaced the thermocouple. All is perfect now. No charge for the second visit. The next step, if needed will be a tankless and their quote looks a bit steep. But I am really hoping I won’t need to go that far.
