"Contacted California Drains from list Angi provided. Inspector came over and saw water flowing down our garage coming in from back of garage. Said they would flush out existing drain and add two new drains behind the garage. They were neat and completed work in several days. I even gave them a good review on Yelp. Then, it started raining again the following week. Had the same flood in garage. Boxes of clothes were wet and had to dry and be repacked. I called the company and Inspector came back. He gave me a refund check of $1,600 and had me sign a release. Did not offer to do anything else to alleviate the running water. With each rain afterwards, more water came in of which I have photos. I sent a tex to the Inspector in February and he did not respond"

Cast iron can last between 50 and 75 years, but it’s still a good idea to check for leaks as your pipes approach the 25-year mark, as pipes can already show signs of deterioration within the first three decades.

The most significant difference between a standard plumbing system and a manufactured (mobile) home is the size and location of the pipes. In standard builds, the pipes run through the walls, whereas in a mobile home, they run through the floor. 

Yes, ammonia does damage pipes if used or disposed of improperly. Although ammonia-based cleaners are commonly used to unclog drain pipes, they either come already diluted or instruct the user to dilute them before use. Otherwise, undiluted ammonia is too caustic and could corrode certain plumbing types, such as PVC.
