"Excellent service. Luis Rodriguez gave a fair estimate, was very professional; explained all work that was needed and work that could wait if we chose to. He was always on time and communicated with us in a timely manner and in a very professional way. He left area very clean and he even completely arranged a DWP rebate for pump installed (pictures and documentation). He was also very available for questions after work was completed. We would definitely recommend him."

"I have interviewed a few contractors. I clicked with Noe because it was clear to me that he knows what he is doing, and he looked like a good character person, with integrity and also modesty. The cost of the job was a fair one. I am extremely pleased with the job done. Noe's team is very qualified, they know what to do, and they find pride in doing it very well. They are courteous and hard working. The job took two weeks. My major problem were the big cracks. To fix them, they broke the concrete to go to the rebars and refilled with concrete. Noe was working together with his two people. They also installed new drains and connected them with a new skimmer. New tiles were put. Also they changed the copper plumbing, creating three new return lines, and put deck o seal around the pool. Noe is very thrustful and accommodating person, whatever he does he wants to be perfect, and the customer to be satisfied. The pool looks like new with the fiberglass and the new tiles. He gave us a 15 years warranty. I would gladly recommend Noe to whoever needs to fix their pool. Ours is now a jewel due to Noe's expertise and work well done."

"Andrew, Richard, Scott, and Bridget were great! We went into the bid unsure that we wanted a full-service landscaping company to handle our yard - thinking we might instead save some $ by managing things ourselves. But their proposal was a game-changer for us, and from the beginning they were very receptive to working with us on parts of the plan that were important to us. One of these was of course the cost, and we worked together with creative ideas to manage costs while maintaining the design (like some work we will finish up on, but appropriate space or pipes, etc. was installed for us to do this easily). Other areas that we didn't have strong feelings about were managed for us, and we felt all along like we were getting great professional advice and service.
The job went really smoothly, and was finished in 2 weeks, with the original quote being 2.5-3 weeks. We had good interactions with all the workers on-site, and felt like our questions or concerns were quickly addressed or passed up the chain of command for further communication. We had only one change order come up during the construction, and felt like this was very reasonable for unanticipated added cost.
We're really thrilled that we went outside our comfort zone and had Andrew and CA Smartscape do our whole yard project. The cost was likely higher than if we had tried to piece this together ourselves, but the design is beautiful and cohesive, and has in two weeks changed our outdoor space dramatically. The neighbors can't stop commenting about how great it looks, and they can only see half the work!

"My house was in shambles and required a full makeover. We also wanted to add a shower to the downstairs bathroom for my mom as she gets older and stairs are getting tougher. I got 6 estimates and most came back much higher than the one I received from US Home developers and their definitions of work to be provided was also very vague, and left a lot of room for additional fees. Belle gave me a very detailed contract outlining everything that would be done. Armando was our contractor and like Belle, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. The work was done very quickly and only took as long as it did because of wait times for material. Belle met with us a few times to shop for material and helped us through the design process which was very helpful because I was stressing out on this aspect. Armando made sure everything was the way I wanted it to be and was very flexible when it came to scheduling. At the end of job he even had all the junk in my backyard, which was a lot, picked up. I was so happy with the work they did downstairs that I decided to rehire them to do the upstairs. They even added roof replacement to the contract for an additional price that was much lower than the 4 other estimates I got. My house went from looking like it was straight out of an episode of Hoarders to looking like it’s straight out of a magazine. Couldn’t be happier!"

"General Construction They just finished with our kitchen expansion and remodel project, and
just completed our pool and backyard remodel....everything looks fantastic!! Our kids are tickled pink about the pool, BUT, Regev also designed a secluded area in the back behind the pool with a jacuzzi...., however, I just wanted to share how wonderful Regev is. They really listened to what we wanted, what works for us, and pretty much our hopes and dreams for the project. They brought our visions to life!  General Construction is an amazing company! Their project managers are so knowledgeable they are borderline geniuses, their designers are creative beyond my imagination and the office staff are more pleasant ! It was just a wonderful experience, not to mention the quality of the work they did and their excellent prices...that was the cherry on top! Thank you General Construction, the pleasure has been all ours. Can't wait to work with you again in the future. And thank you again for taking our project on!

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.

A home sauna may be considered a luxury item by some homebuyers, which can provide a good return on investment. However, whether it increases your home's value ultimately depends on the buyer, as some may not want to take on the extra costs and maintenance associated with heating and upkeep.

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.
