"Well thank you for this outstanding report and true to life explanation of events. Yes over 20 years ago I had worked for this home owner on a bathroom redo. The following job my cost was too high for them and they decided to go with another contractor. Unfortunately as it is true often with most contractors this next guy did not deliver well. So when I got a call from them I was surprised…but honestly the best part of hearing from them was not just to get a job but I got some kinda closer with them as my customers after all the years of wondering. Anyway the job went well even though there was some issues with the property line and crazy neighbors..but we got it handled. It is true we do not take on small handy man style jobs but we do it for pre existing home owners that have history with us!! Thank you so very much for the business gain and again. Tony. On another note, Im waiting for a phone conversation customer to post an (F) as a report, it should be coming any day now!! This person got really upset and couldn't understand why and how could I possibly give an estimate over the phone. In this case my estimate over the phone was within %10 percent deference in cost as another estimate he had received by the contractor going over and seeing the job, not bad for a phone estimate I say! In any case, just trust me when I say it is possible to give a phone estimate, especially after asking a few needed question and getting the answers. "OK so!! The best thing I can say to you whom is reading this report for the first time is to read it as many times as deemed necessary so that you have no mis understandings in the system I use to do contracting! Unfortunately I speak the ugly truth and that upsets people and I lose the business!! I don't bend the truth or sugar coat it to earn your business! Why are most homeowners unhappy and uneasy about contractors and getting work done on there homes? Most are scared and unhappy specially if they had previous experiences with a remodel. I will tell you the correct cost and a real time line of what to expect including CUSTOM quality work. You should have a plan of attach but not a set plan in your head that you may believe will be end result. Most often it will change 50 times by the end of the job. I can most comfortably say that 90% of my contracts written read deferent than the finished product. it is impossible to judge how ones job will end on a paper copy designs and at the start of a job, its good to have a starting point plan but don't take it too seriously. As you can read in this report we are truly geared towards major remodels, complete house and custom work. Doesn't mean we don't or can't do small jobs but just are better suited for large projects!! We have worked for this home owner in the past and thrilled when he called us to rebuild this very very large deck. The pictures show about 70 percent of the true size. So yes this agreement was done on a handshake and couple bottles of top of line wine we received from this homeowner before and after the job was done!! Also this home owner tipped and also gave gifts to our workers. Solid character! I do believe lunch was on him many times also!! A true gentle man. after the job a few technicalities arouse and we handled them with no headache!! I do believe we will have future dealings with this home owner again on other projects. "There is too much history here to explain in a message!! We have been hired to work on this homeowners house a few times all to her satisfaction, we have actually done very large jobs for her. She has spent a lot of money with us and all rave reviews with (A) ratings. Why else would we be hired again and again? regardless , a very long time after we had completed the last job I received a phone call that stuff was missing, possibly close to a year later. I explained that I can not and neither can she that our crew was guilty of any such doings. Too long had gone by and no one would say they took anything anyway even if I asked them. I wish she would have told me immediately not a year later. Also after many conversations with her I realized it was a dead end, she was h*** bent on believing without any evidence that our company workers had taken those things, I still say this is absolutely not true and defamation of our character. We have keys and access to many homes for over 20 years, If this was the case then this wouldn't be the first time. We have remodeled multi million dollar properties for some high profile clients, real high!!! Pointing fingers a year later after being hired more than a few times and all previous grades from same homeowner an (A) is just wrong and confusing, this report is fraudulent and has no evidential backing. There is no proof and just a persons thoughts. its actually a sad situation with this person. I don't want to get personal but for health reasons medication is used in this case and I have witnessed impairing of normal behavior when conducting business at this home before. I didn't think much of it but this is how it can end. Im just shaking my head with dis belief and wish her well. Tony!!"

"Thank you for this report. Yes we have worked for this homeowner before. That always makes working conditions better when we already have a relationship. We do try to make it as easy on you as possible, no one said remodeling the inside of your house while you live there was gonna be easy. but we try our best. And yes we are not really considered cheap, or competitive in pricing, we have our prices for what we do and not really concerned what others offer. You will for sure get a top notch quality work from us overtime. that you can bet on!! Now quality is only half of the issue, knowledge of what to be done right and knowledge on how to do things is actually more important then quality. You can do the same job in deferent ways, which way is the right way? Which way will last longer, stronger, look better? what materials are better than others? what manufacturers produce better longer lasting materials? There is dozens of reasons why estimates vary as they do, there is a lot that can go into a remodeling job that you don't see and we can't really explain it to you. There are tricks we know off to your advantage and a better looking and longer lasting work. These things cannot be priced equally by all contractors secretly in some unwritten bible of construction. Think about this, why are most homeowners terrified of remodeling and even more scared of the contractor they are to hire? Why are remodeling construction stories always BAD with unhappy endings, well not always but mostly? I can not go on here explaining all this, not enough time or space to type, but realize that pretty much every homeowner that has hired us has rated us with an (A). If you don't get this concept and understand how hard it is to keep this level of reputation then please don't call us. Call us when you are ready to get your work done and have homeowners pride. I have started to leave longer more descriptive responses to the report because of the industry I am in and the HALF price contractors out there with license numbers starting in the 9s and so on.
