I called Haik Zohrabian because the tenant at our rental property had reported "some smoke and a burnt smell" coming from an entryway light fixture. 

When I called, I expected to have to set an appointment, but Haik said that he was just on his way back to our area and he could make the service call very quickly.  We met him at the rental and he looked at the fixture and said that it appeared to be just an accumulation of 'dust and dead bugs in the fixture.'  He vacuumed it out and then checked the fixture, its switch and its function and said that it now appeared to be just fine.  No problem.

Then, he noticed that another switch (right next to the first one) was operating erratically.  We hadn't been aware of this as a problem, but once he pointed it out it was obvious he was correct.  He changed out the switch and that now operates perfectly.

He started to leave, and I stopped him...and said,  "wait a minute, what do I owe you."  To which he responded "nothing, it was very minor."

What an overall surprise.  He was prompt, professional, courteous...and ON TOP OF THAT, he didn't even charge me.  I know that this is an exception, but I will certainly use him for any electrical problem that we have in the future and recommend him to anyone in the greater Glendale, CA area.
