Our remodeling project was a large scale remodeling project to our opinion BUT to Best Builders Group it was a normal size project and they provided all the required attention to detail and great working capabilities. We had some concerns on the plumbing & electrical but Zohar took care of all of them in a very professional manner. Part of the work was to build a custom fire pit and Zohar was always nice enough to do whatever we asked. All the workers on the other hand… always made sure to clean up & they never left the house without the cleaning task. The installations was done perfectly, professionally, clean and with perfection. This remodeling project came out to be such a wonderful entertaining spot of the house and I strongly recommend them."

"While Michael the owner was responsive when it came to the actual scheduled job he sent a much junior technician whom I certainly did not expect because he did not tell me. They were supposed to contact me before he showed up but there was no advance call, luckily I was home at the time. The tech did his job and was about to just leave without showing/telling me about how it works or what he installed. I had to ask him about the installation so I can be sure I knew how the equipment operated and if there's anything I needed to know about the install. In the end my opinion is the attic fan was a waste of money and my time. We don't notice any difference in the interior temperature of our house when it's hot. When I inquired about a refund (within 30 days of the install), Michael said he would offer $89 refund for the equipment and not the install. And to think if I didn't use Angie's list, this would have cost me several more hundred dollars. An expensive lesson learned!

"First, the pros:
1.  The workmanship on the roof itself was very good.  We have had several significant rainfalls and no issue with leakage.
2.  The overall cost was competitive, and in fact slightly lower than other bids received.
3.  The company was willing to work with us on an installment plan that made it easier for us to pay for the new roof.
There were, however, several issues we had with Octagon:
1. The project took longer than anticipated (about 3 weeks in total).  Some of this was due to extreme heat during the first stages of the project, but even after accounting for these days it still took about a week longer than anticipated.  It took numerous phone calls with the owner to finally get a larger crew on site to finish the work in a timely manner.
2. Overall, the owner was not very communicative during the project.  It took a lot of proactive phone calls to get updates on the schedule, additional costs, etc.  The owner rarely visited the work site, instead relying on a foreman.
3.  We had an issue with fascia boards that were installed poorly and not painted to match the white trim of the house.  Ultimately the owner agreed to fix the boards and paint them, but only after repeated calls and us withholding final payment.
