"We had an excellent “remodeling” experience with Zohar! Zohar came over to discuss our kitchen and bathrooms remodeling project - he listened, was courteous, gave us many options, gave us an estimate and time frame for the entire work. We found him to be slightly on the pricier side, but we would hire them again in a heartbeat! Absolutely worth each and every penny! Zohar showed up on a regular basis to make sure all was on track and was available any time we had a question/concern. He walks with you through the whole project and is in constant communication. He then gives you a 3D version photo, with the tiles you select so you can see what your kitchen and bathrooms will look like before even starting - super cool. Zohar would also approve any purchases to ensure everything would fit properly (vanity, mirror, toilet, shower fixtures). Was very comforting to have someone available to assure that all your purchases would work out. Zohar’s team was great–they know their stuff — he knows what he’s doing! All the guys were very polite, respectful of my privacy, and cleaned up every day. The work finished on time, and we were so pleased that the project cost exactly what Zohar quoted. We look forward to working with them again on our next project!"

Robyn professionally quoted a reasonable package for all and we decided to place the order. His team installed the doors and cabinet within the promised timeline. "While Michael the owner was responsive when it came to the actual scheduled job he sent a much junior technician whom I certainly did not expect because he did not tell me. They were supposed to contact me before he showed up but there was no advance call, luckily I was home at the time. The tech did his job and was about to just leave without showing/telling me about how it works or what he installed. I had to ask him about the installation so I can be sure I knew how the equipment operated and if there's anything I needed to know about the install. In the end my opinion is the attic fan was a waste of money and my time. We don't notice any difference in the interior temperature of our house when it's hot. When I inquired about a refund (within 30 days of the install), Michael said he would offer $89 refund for the equipment and not the install. And to think if I didn't use Angie's list, this would have cost me several more hundred dollars. An expensive lesson learned!

"Granted, the work isn't completely finished, but I wanted to update my review to post how impressed I am. Danny Gold and his crew just completed the tile install phase. They did an extremely complex "wood" tile pattern which looks beautiful in photos and EVEN better in reality. In addition, the bulk of the work and hassles and noise was done remotely while I was out of town. Luis was great an explaining things and even though I wasn't there, I felt everything would be handled with the utmost care and attention to details. Talk about trustworthy!!! Such a gift in a contractor. The tile work cost me a bit more than I expected, but the work was well worth it. They are handling all the extremely annoying inspections (City of Santa Monica slows everything so much!) My shower glass guy was super impressed with the precision of the bathroom. "Like laser crafted" In all, HIGHLY recommend their work!!"

"First, the pros:
1.  The workmanship on the roof itself was very good.  We have had several significant rainfalls and no issue with leakage.
2.  The overall cost was competitive, and in fact slightly lower than other bids received.
3.  The company was willing to work with us on an installment plan that made it easier for us to pay for the new roof.
There were, however, several issues we had with Octagon:
1. The project took longer than anticipated (about 3 weeks in total).  Some of this was due to extreme heat during the first stages of the project, but even after accounting for these days it still took about a week longer than anticipated.  It took numerous phone calls with the owner to finally get a larger crew on site to finish the work in a timely manner.
2. Overall, the owner was not very communicative during the project.  It took a lot of proactive phone calls to get updates on the schedule, additional costs, etc.  The owner rarely visited the work site, instead relying on a foreman.
3.  We had an issue with fascia boards that were installed poorly and not painted to match the white trim of the house.  Ultimately the owner agreed to fix the boards and paint them, but only after repeated calls and us withholding final payment.
