"Hey guys! Long time no see! Iâ m happy I found your company years ago, and my last move with you was about 5-6 years ago. Iâ m glad to be back! Everything was great and smooth as usual. I was especially happy to see Alex as the foremanâ he helped me with my first move as well. This time, I was moving out of a 2-bedroom place in Calabasas and am now excited to start my life in OC, Irvine. Everything went smoothly, and I want to thank you for the great service as always. Highly recommend!"

"My girlfriend and I recently contacted All Service Moving to help us relocate our furniture from Seattle to Lake City, and the service from them was amazing! Brad and Donald were personable, professional, speedy, and thorough. I definitely recommended their service if you need lots of stuff moved quickly and hiccup-free. They wrapped everything up nicely (they were also very handy with their bubble-wrap, even using it as a doorstop when going in and out for easier access), deconstructed furniture with ease, and overall made the job look so easy!"

Customers say: Super punctual

"The pickup and load-in was perfect. I used Let's Move It for a local move previously and their local crew did a fast, efficient, and professional job, getting everything in the truck in under an hour really. The delivery and load-out was a little more problematic. I think mostly it was because it was just one guy in an 18-wheeler. He did call to say he'd be later than planned (about 7 PM) and the the 1st load-out facility closes by 9 PM. He chooses to back into the gate at the storage facility. I open the gate but then realize I have to be his spotter since he doesn't have a colleague but I have no way to communicate to him that there's a time limit on the opening and he hits the gate, knocks it off track and bends the gate a bit. I lift the gate back on the track and it's still functional, but the office people come out and they're ****** at me because they just had the gate fixed. Now I'm a "bad" client in their eyes. After that, he's rushing himself in a big hurry and even dropped a couple of boxes. The original supervisor I spoke to said the delivery crew would help me organize things in the storage facility, but this service was not offered and it was apparent to me this was not a guy I would trust to organize anything. We then went to the residence where there were about 20 items to be delivered. Because he has too big a truck he tells me it'll have cost extra to get things beyond 75 feet and that there's an extra cost for being on the 2nd floor requiring stairs. I'm sure these provisions are in the contract language, but I feel pressured since I didn't know they'd send a truck that would require extra costs--so we agree he'll take things only as far as the contract dictates and I just carry everything myself the rest of the way. My advice to LMI is that they need to monitor and quality control their long-distance subcontractors a little better, because that guy was definitely NOT up to their local moving standards--as I think of it, he's the kind of budget mover you'd expect when you hire "just a guy with a truck" and you'd expect it to be a lot cheaper since it's less quality. So A+ for 50%, but C for the other guy (for basically getting it done). Everything got here safely and intact, I'm not quibbling with the price with the price at this point (I didn't really shop it around that much since my 1st experience with them was great). And I suppose I got a LOT of exercise that night in the Las Vegas heat so that probably helped me build character., eh?"

"We hired Silver Star Moving and Storage to move furniture from many rooms to other rooms, our garage and PODS while we were having our hardwood floors refinished. A 3person crew (Justin, Javier and Jose) came on time and had all the dollys, plastic wrap and other moving equipment to move our home contents. They took extra care while moving the furniture from storage to the rooms with newly refinished hardwood floors. They took very extra care and no scratches in the flooring was done and the furniture, washer and dryer were professionally wrapped and stored. They will be back to move items from our pods and garage after the wood floors on the upper level are refinished. The office staff were also very helpful (Sabrina and Amy). They followed up after the move to make sure all went well. We would highly recommend the Company"

Moving questions, answered by experts

To pack mugs safely for a move, start by lining the bottom of your moving box with padded material like bubble wrap. Wrap each mug individually; for a snug fit, you can tuck the ends of the bubble wrap sheet inside the mug. Place the wrapped mugs in the box, using a box with slots for extra separation if available. The key to preventing breakage is to pack the box tightly enough that the mugs cannot shift during transit. Fill any empty gaps with additional packing material. However, be careful not to pack more than 10 mugs in one box, as it can become too heavy to carry safely. Finally, be sure to label the box as “fragile” to alert movers to handle it with care.

How long it takes movers to move cross-country depends on location, travel route, weather, and the moving company's schedule. Typically, a cross-country move can take 7 to 14 days. Always check with your mover for the most accurate estimate tailored to your situation.

If you are hiring professional movers, their company will handle any permits and similar arrangements. But if you are renting a truck to move yourself, you may have to pay permits when moving across state lines or away from a specific city or town. Research your move and its requirements as you plan. Most states, cities, and even rental companies offer useful information about what permits you may need.

In most cases, you don’t need to order food for movers. They will schedule breaks to eat throughout the day. However, you can provide drinks and snacks in an easy-to-access location for the movers to grab throughout the day.

It's less expensive to drive your car than to ship it a short distance. The cost of shipping an automobile increases per mile for short trips, making it a less attractive option for your wallet. However, long-distance car shipping, especially on an open trailer or train, is typically less expensive than hotels, food, fuel, and other costs during a DIY move.
