"They were fantastic! The owner came out himself to bid the job, threw in some stucco patchwork that was needed outside of the immediate area to be fixed. The crew was on time, worked quickly, and didn't leave any debris behind (cleaned up the area perfectly). Not the cheapest, not the most expensive either, but the expertise and skill was evident and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Fogg."

"Joel and his partner came on time. They were friendly and professional. Before the job, they protected the work area and explained to me what was to be done. During the work, they spent time on getting things (2 papers + 3 coats stucco) done right, while being very efficient. One of the guys says he has got 25 years of experience on doing stucco. After the work, they cleaned up the area really well and warranty the work for 1 year. As courtesy, Joel also walked around the house with me to spot/assess any other possible concerns with the stucco. Luckily the condition of my stucco is otherwise not too bad. Overall I felt confident and happy on the stucco repair they did. Would use again."

"Rick, the owner, is meticulous and the quality is actual master craftsman work.  Rick is exceptional with color matching but his real hallmark is the stucco application technique he used. Many contractors who have come to complete other work on my home have asked "Who did your stucco? It looks great!" We live in a neighborhood where owners are very fussy about home appearance and all have been pleased."

"Fredrick was awesome! There was a ton of prep work needed for this job the walls needed to be hand scraped then primed and painted. He was quick and efficient, and the end product was beautiful. He also handed the rental of the lift which is something I was asked to from others, as someone in the middle of starting a business it was little details like this that were so very helpful. His pricing was fantastic, I got 3 other quotes and his was by far the most fair. We will definitely use him for future projects. Thanks Fredrick!!

"I would 100% recommend Delamor painting. Ramon was very prompt and courteous. He replies very quickly and the prices are very competitive. He has enough manpower to finish the job quickly. I was previously quoted almost double the price for painting my house as well as double the time! Not only was Delamor painting able to finish the job ahead of schedule but they also showed attention to detail, with recommendations for closets that I should've asked to be painted in the original estimate as they were very old and peeling. I really appreciated that. They were on-time every day and made sure to protect our floors as they were not being replaced. They understood our timeline and there were never any excuses about not being able to do something. Ramon understood the purpose was to sell our house and to repaint for staging purposes. Our home was left clean and immaculate with nothing left behind. I would definitely hire again!"

"We recently had Mega Power Electric Inc install a solar system and panels. The President and provided excellent communication all the way through the process. He even met with us after installation to explain the almost incomprehensible PG&E bill. Although not the least expensive bid, his was competitive and I felt he was as interested in educating me about solar and the various types of panels and inverter systems as he was in selling a system. He demonstrated how the array of panels would meet our energy needs and as opposed to some of the other companies, wasn't selling us more than we needed. We are very satisfied with our solar system and I highly recommended Mega Power Electric Inc."

"Benny and his team did outstanding work on our home. It was really outdated inside and they made it look modern and clean. They knocked down some horribly textured walls and then painted and also painted our kitchen and cabinets. It was not an easy job and they were super quick and diligent in making sure every detail was perfect. They have a very hard working team and they went the extra mile including hauling away some refuse that wasn’t even part of the job- really kind folks who care about their quality of work. 10/10 would recommend! We will continue working with them as other projects pop up. Look no further! Thank you Benny and team!"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.

Yes, you can screw directly into stucco. Only do so if the item you are installing is a permanent fixture. Drill a pilot hole into the stucco using a masonry or concrete bit, then drive in the screw with a power drill or screwdriver.

DIY is possible for small cracks or patches. Professional services ensure proper texture and color matching.

Several clues suggest that your stucco is damaged or has underlying issues. Visual clues include discoloration, cracks, indentations, broken caulking, or visible mold. If you touch your stucco and feel any soft spots, that could also indicate a problem. If you notice any of these concerns, call in an inspector who can confirm your suspicions and help provide solutions.

One of the most significant downsides to stucco is the installation cost, which is higher than that of many other siding options because getting it to look clean and professional is a labor-intensive process. Stucco can also absorb water, making it an unsuitable option for siding in areas that see excessive rainfall. Finally, stucco can crack and chip, especially in extreme weather, and repairs are not only challenging and require help from a professional who does stucco, but can get expensive.
