"Guardian Plumbing repaired our high water pressure issue by replacing valve, flushed our tankless water heater, and fixed shower head leak. The repair cost was reasonable and the plumber was professional, courteous and did a good job with no issues. I will call them again for my next plumbing related service."

"Definitely impressed Drew is an awesome human being and phenomenal plumber and drain specialist!!! We were having to go to our neighbors house to use the restroom as our sewer line was backing up for more than a week. Drew came out after hours and within hours of the inspection, he had me and my family sitting back in our own restroom in comfort. Not only did he get our sewer flowing but he did it with all new sew line installed. I will definitely be calling him for the future plumbing issues!!! We are forever grateful and will be a customer for life!!!! Call Service Flow plumbing!!!"

"I've wanted to wait a few months before writing this review, because this was a big, daylong job that required more than just a few days to assess.  Sure, I was happy with the work when it was finished.  I'd gotten seemingly great work at a great price (about $1000 less than the quotes I'd gotten from two other top mountain plumbers).  And after several weeks without it, having consistent hot water throughout the house was absolute bliss.  Still, it's the kind of work that shouldn't be judged immediately.  If the water heater had failed after a few weeks, or the gas line had clogged up two months later, I might have been very UNhappy.  I just wanted to wait and make sure that work that SEEMED great . . . actually WAS great.
The good news: I highly recommend O'Brien Plumbing.  With a single phone call I was able to arrange for my plumber (Tristan) to come by, make an assessment of my problems and give me an estimate on the work that needed to be done.  Unlike another plumber who charged me $100--and gave me a much higher estimate--O'Brien Plumbing provided this service for free.  And Tristan even took time to sit down at my computer and help me pick out the optimal water heater to replace my old one.  (He not only recommended a much more powerful unit than the ones I was considering, but also gave me a clear explanation as to why.  Despite the sting of the additional cost, I ended following his advice and bought a Noritz 11.1 GPM tankless heater.  Now, I'm really glad I did.  It's a monster and has been really helpful when we've had company--or even when we just want to take a shower and run the dishwasher at the same time.  And it still pumps out consistent hot water in the coldest mountain weather.)
The day of the work: Tristan and his partner were a little late, but he apologized as soon as he arrived, which always makes me feel better.  I said, "I don't care as long as I have hot water by the end of the day."  "You will," he said.  About seven hours later, the work was done, and I had a new tankless heater installed (with new venting), plus a fresh 3/4" gas line running directly from my meter to my heater, plus a small filtration system added to my water supply line.  It was a lot of work, but everything was working perfectly when the guys were done.  And I was extremely happy to have hot water in my house again.
Today, three months later, everything is still working perfectly.  I'm extremely happy with the supplies I ended up purchasing and think they are a significant upgrade to my house.   And with everything still operating perfectly, without a single issue, I'm pleased to say that I'm very happy with Tristan and his work--and all the people at O'Brien Plumbing.
Great job at a great price.  Me and my family really appreciate it.

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Inspect roof drains, area cleanouts, and exposed outdoor pipes during the fall to prepare for winter storms and frost events. Monitor your slab perimeter for moisture intrusion throughout the rainy winter season. Check sewer cleanouts for active tree root intrusion in the spring. During Rialto's hot summers, inspect your water heater for hard water scale buildup and monitor water pressure.

Helpful?

Document your water provider account details, meter location, and current pressure readings. Record your water heater's age, capacity, and fuel type, noting the presence of seismic straps required in CA. Identify visible pipe materials under sinks or near appliances. Gather existing permit records, note any water quality issues, and verify your homeowner's insurance coverage before scheduling plumbing repair.

Helpful?

Plumbing modifications directly impact structural and safety systems across CA. Rerouting gas lines or replacing water heaters requires compliance with state seismic gas shutoff valve codes. Since most local homes sit on concrete slab foundations, leak detection or pipe replacement involves cutting into the slab, affecting your flooring. Modifying main supply lines also alters irrigation system pressure and backflow preventer functions.

Helpful?

Address your water heater and supply pipes first. Rialto draws hard water from local groundwater basins, accelerating mineral scale buildup in fixtures and appliances. Many local homes built between the 1950s and 1980s feature older galvanized steel pipes and undersized water heaters. Check your water quality using the annual Consumer Confidence Report. Always secure necessary permits before starting pipe replacement or water heater installation.

Helpful?

Start by identifying your home's construction year to determine the existing pipe materials. Older Rialto properties contain galvanized steel systems, while newer builds feature copper or PEX. Confirm your specific water provider to understand local pressure standards and meter requirements. Assess your lot grading for drainage patterns, and check local permit history to identify unpermitted plumbing work.
