"The quality of the final product was good, although I had to stay constantly involved in the project and continually catch mistakes the project manager missed. Our project was supposed to take 6 weeks and ended up taking 13 weeks to complete. We were return customers having used RemodelWorks for another bathroom remodel earlier in the year, but we felt as if rather than rewarding us for our loyalty to them, we became the absolute last priority for them. Early in the project our project manager got a job at another company and our project began falling behind schedule soon after we were assigned a new PM. Rather than working extra to catch up RemodelWorks went with the opposite strategy and would send workers out 2-3 days a week to work on our bathroom and fall even further behind. Incredibly frustrating experience. Could not have felt less valued as a customer. The only olive branch they offered was to offer a vague discount on a future project."

"As a result of water leak in one of the bathrooms in my house, a portion of the engineered hardwood floor in the adjacent living room was damaged. After the abatement of the water damage is done and the affected drywalls were fixed, I started to looking for hardwood floor repair service to replace and restore the damaged floor. For some reason, probably due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was more difficult than I originally thought. Many companies that I contacted was too busy to do the repairing work for me. Maybe it was too small a job for them. Some requested a minimum fee that was too high for such a small job. A couple of companies came to have an estimate but never gave me a written estimate even though I had called them for a few time. I put put out a job request on Sunday (10/10) on Angi and they sent to a few companies. Ocean Flooring and Construction called me on Monday (10/11) about my request. I got in touch with Frank, their office manager. He arranged inspection estimate on Tuesday (10/12) and Stuart, the owner of the company, came to have and estimate in the afternoon. I received the estimate quote on the second day. The quote was quite thorough and the price was very reasonable. To my surprise they even included Angi's 10% off of labor cost that I was unaware of. I waited for a couple of days to see if any estimate from other companies would come. As I didn't receive any, I accepted their offer on Friday (10/15). Frank told me they have arranged a technician to work on my repairing work on Monday. Raul came to my house on Monday (10/18) Morning. He did all the work in one day. The repaired floor looks as good as the original. He also painted and installed the baseboard as requested. I would also like to mention that after he removed the dust barrier of plastic films (included in Stuart's estimate), he removed all the masking tapes and staples. I am very satisfied about the work he did. I feel this a trustworthy company for flooring repairing and installation. I can recommend them to anyone for such jobs without reservation."

"When we decided to update and refresh our condo in the Marina District, we got bids from several contractors. We felt that Luis, from R. M. Design, best understood our vision, his bid was reasonable, and his timeframe for starting the work coincided with our schedule. We very much appreciated that throughout the process Luis listened to our ideas while also giving us his expert advice. We know what we like, but he has a good eye and lots of experience. We know that his input and suggestions greatly improved the outcome of our project. We have always loved our place, but now we love it so much more. Also, Luis and his crew worked very well with our HOA association which has several rules and regulations regarding contractors and improvements. We had no complaints from the HOA nor our neighbors. "Over the last two years we have enjoyed the kitchen and bathroom remodeling work and room addition that SDD&R did for us in the summer of 2016. Our family room has become our main place to hang out and the remodeled kitchen and new family room have been the center of a number of family gatherings and celebrations. Jeremy and Eric were great to work with on this project. They encouraged us to remove a kitchen wall to open it to the dining room and we are so happy we did. They also worked with us to resolve some issues we had with the original house design (i.e., replaced water lines that were in the slab with new lines through the attic, upgraded the electric circuits to the kitchen, included a raised slab for our room addition to address a grade problem in our back yard). With our initial input, they prepared suggested designs and layouts for our kitchen and bathroom remodels, and then we worked with them to revise these to exactly what we wanted in the finished product. Once these designs were finalized, they provided us with firm costs for the project, which were very competitive and a great value. They also provided us with several references at which we checked out the work that they had been done. Based on these references, we believed that Jeremy and Eric could deliver the finished product, and we liked the designs and costs, so we proceeded to contract with them. They directed us to a separate design company to prepare the drawings for the room addition. They provided us a list of what products we needed to pick out (e.g., plumbing fixtures, paint colors, tile, lighting, ceiling fans, kitchen and bathroom accessories) and a schedule for when they would need them. Also, they utilized a number of sub-contractors (e.g., tile, roof, framing, stucco, countertops, cabinets, painting) that provided great finished products. They also coordinated with several other contractors that we decided to use for flooring, asbestos removal, windows, HVAC, and Solatube installation. As in every project of this scope, there were some issues to deal with along the way, but they were quickly resolved. SDD&R gutted the kitchen and bathrooms to the studs rather than cutting and patching the drywall. We believe this made for a better finish and also allowed us to have them reinforce many of the areas in the bathrooms where we wanted to install towel racks and grab bars. The cabinets and quartz countertops we got through them are of superior quality and these were used in the kitchen and bathrooms and hallway and laundry cabinets. They even installed a cabinet in the hallway location that formerly housed our whole house heater, which we had just previously moved to the attic. This work took from the beginning of June through mid-September to complete, which was pretty close to the schedule they had provided us. They used progress payments through the duration of the project and these were based upon specific activities that had been completed. This worked out well for us. Overall, this was a project that was well run and had a quality result and we would highly recommend SDD&R to others to check out for their remodeling projects."
