"Home Pro completed a major repair of the exterior stucco, shimney, and
wood trim of my home. Matt and his crew did an excellent job and I highly
recommend Home Pro. The quality of their work, timeliness, regular
communication, and attention to details were outstanding. Great work!

"I spoke to probably 10 Stucco repair companies and this company, had the the best price. They were here and already started on the project, before I even came into work. Finished the job in less than a day, and I can't even tell where they did the repairs. There work is fantastic."

"Called him and he came over in a timely manner and carefully listened to us. While he was not the cheapest bid, he seemed reliable, honest and was willing to listen to our needs. He then really went the extra mile going over paint choices and the pro's and con's of different ideas. He has a way of adding his input and experience but also incorporating our ideas to make it a pleasure working with him. He and his assistant got to work and did an excellent job and were able to accommodate our requests to change paints early on in the process. Everything was left clean and in excellent shape. We are delighted with our final product and enthusiastically recommend him to others."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Cracks in the chimney can be very serious, depending on their location and size. Even small cracks can become serious over time if left unrepaired. Cracks allow heat and moisture to deteriorate your chimney and harmful carbon monoxide gas to seep into your home. Small cracks can often be caulked, while large cracked sections may require full replacement.

All of the components of stucco are non-combustible, so the siding material won’t ignite or spread fire to the interior of your home. However, it also expands and contracts with changes in temperature, so it will crack from long exposure to heat. Eventually, fire will spread through those cracks. Still, stucco is one of the best siding materials for fire protection and can keep you and your family safe for an hour, on average.

The Mediterranean style is unique in that it’s designed for homes in hotter climates and to maintain a connection with nature. The building materials include stucco siding, clay roofs, and interior tiling with tall ceilings and open floor plans. These all come together to keep the interior cool. The building materials are all natural and tend to have muted earth tones, and the architecture typically allows for easy, open access to the outdoors through large windows and arched doorways. The decor and architecture can range from simple and functional to opulent, depending on the type of Mediterranean home it is.

Stucco will dry in two to three days, but you should wait one to two months to allow it to cure fully before you paint it. The curing process is slow, but leaving the material exposed to air and natural moisture will help it reach its maximum strength. If you live in a hot, arid climate, wait a month before painting. Wait two months before painting if you live in a more moderate or wet climate.

Solid, unpainted stucco shouldn’t suffer damage from dots of glue used for this task. If the stucco is dirty, you may notice slight marks when you heat and peel the glue away, but these aren’t permanent.

However, not all stucco walls are solid stucco. Some are “faux” stucco with a foam backing. This kind of stucco veneer is more susceptible to damage, including damage from hot glue. We don’t suggest attaching anything to these kinds of stucco walls, so make sure you check the stucco type before starting this project.
