"I hired Matt's HomePRP company to repair stucco and fix some unexpected damage on my 100-year-old home in East Sacramento. The project ended up being bigger than expected, but they were honest about what they found and kept me in the loop the whole time. The crew was great — super hardworking, professional, and respectful of the space. They cleaned up every day and really took pride in their work. The house looks great now, and I feel good knowing it was done right. Would definitely recommend them for anyone working on an older home or needing solid exterior repairs."

"Arrival was at 8:00 am and they stayed all day to rebuild the stucco around a window my son had replaced and left a gap around. They also repaired for free stucco damaged on another part of the house where my husband had installed an electric outlet. They did a superb job all around and we wouldn't use anyone else. Matt, the owner, came two days before and answered all our questions. We like HomePro very much."

"Jaime Enriquez did a fantastic job fixing a leak under a window on my house. He showed me where and how Del Webb screwed up when they built my house. He then proceeded to go the extra mile and then some to ensure it will never leak again. I would highly recommend California State Plastering for any stucco job, large or small. I paid Jaime $100 more than his bid. That’s how happy I was with his work! Cyril Kalbach"

"Alicia Hinzman is a saving grace. Amongst all the chaos at my house she came in sat me down gave me options and a company willing to finance the job. I would definitely recommend her and Dabella for any bathroom remodeling and just for some good wholesome conversation and exactly what I needed. Thanx Alicia hope you know you got a friend for life! Sincerely Dara Zimmer"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

The average cost of stucco siding is $5,400, ranging from $2,200 to $8,840. Stucco is worth the investment, provided you have the work done by a professional. Not only is stucco an attractive and durable siding material that boosts your home’s curb appeal, but it’s also more energy-efficient than most other siding options, it’s fire-resistant, water-resistant, and more affordable to repair down the road.

Choosing between traditional and synthetic stucco depends on your specific needs, budget, and climate. Both options are durable, but synthetic stucco includes an extra layer that makes it more resistant to cracking and a better choice for climates with extreme weather. In hot, dry climates with less rainfall, traditional stucco is a suitable and more affordable option that is less likely to trap moisture. Synthetic stucco also offers more color options and requires less maintenance.

When hiring for your project, look for licensed, insured contractors with experience in stucco removal. Ask them for references, review their past stucco removal projects, and request detailed, written estimates. A reputable stucco removal contractor will explain the entire process, outline all costs, and ensure proper disposal and compliance with local codes.

Tools include trowels, floats, and patching compounds. Professionals use these for precise and durable repairs.

Damage is often caused by moisture, impact, or settling. Regular maintenance prevents significant issues.
