Ruben Roman Painting

I am a perfectionist and have always done all my own painting, home renovations/upgrades/maintenance/repair, gardening, landscaping and plumbing, and electrical (to code with permits). I built the 230' of the fencing around our property and built two pergolas. I'm 77 years old and I decided to hire a contractor to repaint our 7 pieces of of cast aluminum patio furniture and the 230' of (6'/8') fencing and the two pergolas. I hired Rumen Roman Painting for this work and was and still am amazed and at the quality and detail of his work. He did this better than I would have and that is saying a lot! His attention to detail, craftsmanship and his work ethic are commendable. We will be hiring a painting contractor in the future and will definetely be contracting Ruben for that work.

I highly recommend Ruben and Roman Painting. He called me back the same day I requested and neither of the other 2 painters bothered. He made an appointment for that same day, came early and provided me with a detailed work order. He did a masterful job painting all of our kitchen cabinets. The doors were all taken off hinges, sanded, treated and spray painted. He is an artist with tape and plastic and concocted a labyrinth of plastic so as not to let the sprayer touch floor, ceiling or walls. He also offers a warranty on touch-up and overlooked, minimal adjustments. He returned 2 weeks later and completed some minor touches. All in all, my wife and I are exceptionally pleased with our final product, dark cabinets magically turned into a butter cream, slick finish. Ruben does what he says in the time he estimates and for the price quoted. The clean up was diligent and timely and his helpers were pro and friendly. My nickname for him is Picasso. Dan Novak

Our home in St Helena was ready for carpentry repairs ( due to dry rot), extensive caulking, and painting (primary color, trim color and accent color). We got five bids for the work, including one from a company which had recently painted two of our neighborsâ properties and received rave reviews from them. All five of the estimators were friendly, accommodating, and inspired confidence. The high bid was almost 2 1/2 times higher than the low bid, though all bidders proposed performing essentially the same work product. We chose VERY well when we selected Ruben Roman for our project. He and his helper did everything that we asked for perfectly, and they did it on time and on budget. Ruben also is an excellent communicator, texting and quickly responding with any questions that arose during the project, and sending daily up-date photos on the days when we were not on site. They both were also very easy, even fun, to work with, and when they found any unexpected issues, especially with the carpentry, they just took care of itâ ¦no extra charge. Weâ ve dealt with many contractors over the years, and have been fortunate in choosing well before. I have never been happier with a painter and I have hired several. After going onto Angi's list, I received a prompt reply from Ruben of Ruben Roman Painting. He came out soon after and emailed a competitive quote. Once started, Ruben kept me informed during each step of the process. Ruben completed the job in a timely manner, but was also a perfectionist. He took extreme pride in his work. He moved furniture, taped and covered parts of the deck, removed old stain down to the bare wood using a chemical cleaner, power washed, sanded and applied the new stain. My deck never looked better! I am that thrilled and highly recommend Ruben for any painting job.

Ruben painted the entire exterior of our house including our screened porch, and he did a phenomenal job. First, Ruben gave us the most thorough estimate of any painting contractor we spoke to which was important because there weren't any surprises when he did the job. So the cost he quoted us was the actual cost of the project because he took the time to meticulously measure everything. Ruben also was great with follow through because he knew a storm was coming and he got his team to paint the entire house ahead of schedule to beat the bad weather and he just had to come back to paint the screened porch due to the rain. And he proactively communicated while we went through a few bad weeks of storms when he could not paint the porch but the minute the weather cleared up he proactively told me he was coming to finish the porch. I never had to worry because Ruben communicated well and when he said he would do something he would do what he said. So on top of being a great painter (who is very neat and detail oriented), he is very honest, trustworthy, and punctual. I highly recommend Ruben and his company.

Got 6 bids and 3 were very close, including this one, to paint the exterior of our home. When told, he lowered his price just enough to get my business. We have used different painters for several properties but Ruben stands out. He really cares about customer service and won't leave until you are happy. He used high quality paint and when needed, expanded his crew and does a great job. No smoking or loud music or garbage left behind. I will not hesitate to use them again. Very Satisfied

I've hired Ruben for 3 different projects, two at my business and one at my home, and have been so pleased every time. He is incredibly kind, patient and talented - and he brings the utmost care to every step of the process. After he did the interior and exterior of my business, he came back multiple times to do touch ups, including reinstalling my baseboards and caulking them into place. He never rushes through things, if he sees an issue that might be a problem, he will pause and make sure to check if it's right. For instance, we had him touch up some work over what another painter did, and he made sure that the sheen was correct instead of just applying the paint - which was a huge help in not having mismatch sheens. He cares deeply about the small details. I also really liked all the other men on his crew, they are warm, professional, on time and really good at what they do.
