"It went exceptionally well. Larry is the greatest. He worked very **** ** this project. His team that came to clean the property was very professional and friendly. I hope I never have another asbestos problem again, but if I did, or if someone I knew had one, I would definitely recommend Larry and All Clear again. Thanks Larry and Hector. This is a true statement and I stand by it. :-)"

"These guys removed our asbestos covered ducts in a professional and timely way. Their price was fair and the work quality great. The HVAC company I hired said they did a great job."

"Leo was very helpful and quick to respond. We’re happy with how our 2 bathrooms turned out. Project was completed within the time promised. Our only complaint is that the workers did not clean up very well. But overall, we’re satisfied and we’ll use them again."

"Emil did a wonderful job of explaining all aspects of the project during the sales presentation. Anthony and his painting crew did all that was contracted and more! As the job progressed, it was evident that more trim work was necessary. Anthony listened patiently and completed the entire painting job ahead of estimated completion."

"Workers were efficient, clean, and pleasant. They described their work and then did it. The following work was performed: 1.Remove registers , clean and sanitize. 2.Clean out duct with Rotobrush to remove loose dust, fluff, particles, etc. 3.Wipe down the inside walls of the vent area with warm water and disinfectant mix."

"I had no response from them for a few days until you told me to contact them direct. They did come soon after that. I don't really know how to rate them as they did not do the work. I had to have a new furnace because the firebox was cracked. I had to use my home warranty plan because obviously the cost was going to be high. I think he was honest because the Home Warranty company didn't even question the inspection I had."

"Tomer impressed me with his confidence. He looked at my kitchen and made 2 offers. Due to my budget and time constraints I went with the cheaper option. Tomer was helpful in referring to people he contracts with, such as the granite and tile people. Tomer also recommended mold removal, which was a pain, but needed for the kitchen and guest bathroom. Everything was done within the time frame suggested. The good parts were the excellent work done by Roman, the tile person who also did most of the plumbing. Problems, were just the logistics of people not showing up on time, or going to another job first. Sometimes, I never knew when, or if people were coming. The bottom line is that the kitchen does look nicer, especially the tiles."

"I priced a number of companies for asbestos testing of a structure. Kurtis responded promptly and was able to conduct the test within just a couple of days of my call. They followed up with a call to let me know my results as soon as they were ready, the promptly mailed and emailed the final report. Very nice and total pros and the price is among the best in the biz."

Asbestos Removal questions, answered by experts

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) banned the use of asbestos pipe insulation in certain applications in 1975. It released further bans in 1989 and 2019. While asbestos pipe insulation was common from the 1930s to 1970s, its use fell off after the 1970s due to public concern and the EPA's actions.

If you have an older electrical system with fraying wires and other signs of damage, removal  may be the best course of action. When asbestos begins to break down, it's more likely to become airborne, increasing the risk of health issues when it's inhaled.

However, if the system is in good condition and doesn't have visible signs of wear or damage, leaving it alone may be the safest course of action. An asbestos abatement and removal professional can help you determine the best way to proceed.

Whether or not to buy a home containing asbestos is ultimately a decision for the homebuyer, and there are several things to consider. When in good condition and contained, asbestos is unlikely to present a health risk—it’s when those tiny fibers are loose and airborne that they become a problem. Consider any renovations you plan on doing to the home that could disturb existing asbestos and the cost of removal. If an inspection finds asbestos in a home on the market, you could negotiate with the seller for a lower price, though this isn’t a sure thing.

Typically, homeowners insurance does not cover asbestos removal or abatement. Most policies exclude coverage for pollutants, contaminants, and hazardous materials, which includes asbestos. Because asbestos is often considered a pre-existing condition in older homes, its removal is usually viewed as a maintenance expense rather than an insurable loss. However, there is a key exception: if asbestos-containing materials are discovered or disturbed due to a covered event, such as a fire or storm, your policy may cover the abatement as part of the necessary repairs. For example, if a storm damages your roof and an insurance adjuster discovers asbestos while inspecting the damage, the policy might pay for the removal cost. If removal is not covered and is outside your budget, you might consider encapsulating the asbestos. The viability of this option depends on the condition of the contaminated materials. It is recommended to speak with an asbestos abatement specialist to understand your options.

Typical methods for asbestos removal include encapsulation, enclosure, and complete removal.
