"Leaving this review in regards to the excellent job that was done by U.S. Home Developers. We had them remodel both our driveway and our roof. When we first called in they mentioned that they were first going to send in their project manager. Upon meeting him and going over all of the plans we immediately felt that we were in good hands. The project ended up coming out great and our home looks better than ever. Thank you!"

"We waited to review our project 1 year after completion to be sure that all was well. We are very pleased with the final result. Our only mishap was having miscommunications with B&B when we requested follow up 4 months after project completion – our issues were resolved with a factory representative. No hard feelings. How It Went- Workers were professional and competent. Building on an existing slab is extremely challenging – because the slab slopes away and down from the house – 2 angles that need to be countered when leveling windows and doors etc. When corrective rework was needed (to compensate for a 2 inch site deviation) the team didn’t hesitate and B&B came up with an excellent solution. We retained the exterior stucco exterior of our house for the room and they finished the wall beautifully – it required a lot of fine and patient work. We asked for an 18 inch deep exterior pad – which accommodates a doormat and our foot print. It was done this way – although there was initial push back on this request. We also involved our own electrician, who is familiar with this old house – and we came up with an elegant solution to connect to our home. After project closure, we delayed evaluation until things settled out. Over the next few months, some of the sliding windows became increasingly difficult to open and close – and during an extremely fierce and long rainstorm we experienced a leak coming from one corner of the enclosure. We immediately spoke with B&B. With miscommunications with B&B, we resolved our issues with a factory representative in a single short visit: they added weep holes to the exterior, caulked, replaced a window roller and adjusted windows and the screen doors. We are very pleased with the final result. And so are our kitties."

"We had M & A Creative Construction tear down and replace the roof of our wood pergola and replace our termite eaten wood fence in the back yard.  Mohammad did all of the work alone and in two days, eating his lunch at our patio table!  He was on the property from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM working the whole time.  His work caught my eye, because he painted all of the 1x3 slats individually before he nailed them to the roof piece.  On the fence, he removed the damaged 6ft panel and replaced it with the exact match from Home Depot.  He also cemented its feet into the ground for added stability!  When he was done with all of his work, he hauled away the old wood from the pergola and fence.  He left the remainder of the paint with us for future touch ups. He was extremely professional and courteous!"

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Yes, professional installations include trenching or borehole drilling required for ground loops.

No, fire blight does not survive free in the soil but instead is carried through insects, animals, rain, or wind during the spring. Keep in mind that it can also spread on tools, which is why you should always disinfect them in between cuts.

Digging out a basement takes anywhere from a few days to a few months. Most projects take at least two to five weeks, but it could take several months if you encounter obstacles. This project takes longer if you need to brace or raise your home before the excavation. Digging out a basement in new construction can take as little as three days.

Drilled wells have a pipe sticking up that’s covered in a plastic or metal casing. On the other hand, a dug well will look like a big hole in the ground and is more similar to what you’d see in a fantasy or Western movie. If you want to be sure, contact the city for documentation on your property’s construction and excavation history.

There are several methods to hollow out a tree stump, and the best one depends on your tools, experience, and priorities. Common methods include using a chisel and hammer, a chainsaw, or burning.

  • Chisel and Hammer: This is often considered the easiest approach for those with limited tools or experience, though it is the most time-consuming.

  • Chainsaw: Using a chainsaw is the fastest method, but it comes with significant safety risks, especially for inexperienced users.

  • Burning: This can be an effective method, but it is not recommended unless you can first drill holes into the stump. Without holes, the stump will be difficult to light and may not burn completely through.

A power drill with at least a ⅜-inch diameter bit can make the job quicker and easier, regardless of the primary method. While you can use a chisel or chainsaw without a drill, it will require more time and effort. Always wear protective goggles and thick gloves, as splinters are an inevitable risk.
