This is one of those instances; I cannot say enough, good things about the professionalism of the employees at the office and those that showed up on site to install wall insulation. They showed up at the beginning of the two hour window, which was fantastic and explained everything with upfront pricing. We even asked for additional insulation and they were able to accommodate. Our home walls are now insulated and we even noticed a difference right away. From the time of arrival to completion they were nothing but exemplary. I had water damage in my garage from a leaking toilet and the drywall and insulation had been removed by another vendor.  I needed to replace the drywall to the original specifications.  I called 5 contractors from Angie's List and got proposals from 3 contractors. 

We decided to go with Ciro Mejia for the following reasons:

1.  Ciro called me back 30 minutes after I left him a voice message and I was able to schedule him to see my garage the next day.  The other contractors were not as responsive to me.

2.  When we met with Ciro he was able to immediately access the scope of work and gave us a verbal proposal and he emailed me a written proposal when he said he get it to me.  I liked his responsiveness.

3.  When another contractor suggested using mold resistant drywall, I called Ciro back and he said he would use mold resistant drywall for the same price he initially proposed.

4.  We liked Ciro when we initially met with him, he was on time and we could tell that he knew about drywall.

5.   His proposal was the lowest of the 3 proposals we received.

Overall, we thought that the quality of the work performed by Ciro's crew (Cireo, Elmer, Roberto and Benny) was excellent.  They arrived on time and finished the installation of the drywall and plastering in 1 day.  After the plaster dried for 1 day, the painter came by the following day and put primer and paint on the drywall that matched perfectly the rest of the garage. 

We would definitely recommend Ciro and his crew.  Ciro is the "King of Drywall"!!

"My Elderly parents heating unit went out the weekend before christmas. Starr was the only contractor I could find open on saturday. I called in morning and was told they would have a tech out in 1 1/2 hrs. Phone tag went on all day until tech showed at 6pm saying they were busy and short handed because of holiday. Well the furnace was shot and there wasnt anything that could be done that evening. He loaned us a space heater until new unit could be installed on monday, which it was, and that was it, no follow up call or visit. They knew we wanted AC but they havent been in touch since Saturday December 20th and their installers on the 22nd. We have since added AC to the house but didnt contact them because of their lack of customer service and follow up. In talking to other Heating and AC contractors I found Starr was $500 to $800 higher than need be for a similar furnace. It has left me feelng that they took advantage of our situation."

"Few months ago, we hired Eli at SES builders to do a major renovation at our house that included the kitchen, bathrooms, installation of new wood floor for the entire house on top of energy efficient double glass windows and all the doors (inside and out). We were very happy with the whole process of the work from the design stage all the way to the completion of the work. All the materials and finish products were selected by the help of Eli and he made sure always that everything will be delivered on time so the project will not get any delays. Eli is by far the most perfectionist when it comes to his work and his results are always at the highest quality. We are so happy that we hired him for our house and our next plan is to hire him again for our next remodeling of our backyard and front yard!"

"The first and foremost reason I selected Aeris Heating and Air Conditioning to do the complete overhaul of my house' heating and cooling system with relocation was their professionally written estimate. It was quite detailed and comprehensive, a far cry from those of other bidders. Secondly, because of Arian G. who to make the story short recommended the addition of new supply and return vents to improve ventilation. He insists on having the HERS test and city inspection even if it would cost me $600 more to insure that things were done up to standards. The reason for the 3-star review is the behavior of their work crew. They came down seemingly unprepared. They did not have long enough ladder to get them to the roof so I had to let them use mine. They used my crowbar without asking. I could not communicate very well with the foreman. At the end of the day, they did not clean up their litters of bottles, wrappers and masks around the house. Despite all these, will I still recommend them to others? Maybe, but only after warning them about their work crew."
