"This was a big job with a crew of 7. All work was completed in one long day. Overall things were done well, and I will definitely consider Ivory Coast for future work. Cleanup could have been a little better, but by the end of the day, I could see the crew was slowing a bit, less interested in details.

"These guys were good they just mowed our lawn and trimmed some bushes for us but did a good job. They also cleaned up after themselves so the service provided was excellent.

"My project involved clearing an very overgrown front yard of a rental property, which included large, intrusive lantana. Luis and his crew were awesome! He was very professional, arrived on time, did exactly what I wanted, and even made suggestions as to how to finish the landscaping. . . which I’m going to have him do. I feel very fortunate to have found a great, responsible, company. Thank you."

"If you need items removed, we recommend Handy Haulerz LLC. They're a local company that did an amazing job clearing out our home. Henry and his crew were extremely professional, and we really appreciated them sorting things for donation. Their prices were great, and they made what could've been a tough cleanout so much easier. You should definitely check them out!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

You can paint over lead paint, or “encapsulate” it with a special paint that includes an ingredient called an encapsulant. The EPA approves encapsulation as a lead paint removal method as long as the paint remains undisturbed. Standard types of paint without an “encapsulant” from the big box stores or hardware stores do not meet EPA standards for remediation of lead-based paint.

Chlorine has a shelf life of between six months and several years, depending on its type and formulation. Liquid chlorine can often lose its effectiveness in just a few weeks. Pool owners can find themselves with overstock that they need to get rid of. The best way to dispose of excess chlorine is to take it to a hazardous waste collection site and let the pros handle it.

Embarking on a kitchen demolition comes with its share of risks to keep in mind. Think of potential encounters with asbestos, sharp objects, and power tools—not to mention the peril of structures wobbling or unexpected plumbing surprises. And, of course, you will be surrounded by dust and debris throughout the process. All of the above makes safety gear necessary, or you can consider hiring a qualified professional.

It is safe to remove old linoleum, but it may require the help of a specialist due to the risk of asbestos in the material. Before you cut into linoleum or try to peel it up, have it tested for asbestos. If it tests positive, professionals will need to remove it to prevent the risk of health issues from airborne toxic particles. If it’s asbestos-free, DIY removal is possible and safe.

When a surface that contains lead dust is disturbed, the dust can float about in the air for roughly an hour before settling again. Since you cannot see the dust, it is important always to wear protective gear when working with any materials that may contain lead paint and to keep children, pets, and others away from the area for as long as possible
