"I think it was a little over-priced.   I called them last week because they were supposed to install new fans and one of them sounds like an airplane.   I am going to have to get them to come back.  I don’t know why a new fan would sound like that.  That was a lot of money just to put in two fans.  William, the owner, came by and I showed him what I needed.  He sent another man who put them in.  One of the fans is okay but the other one is very loud.  I’m not complaining right now but I’m going to call them.  He cleaned up his mess although it’s still kind of dirty where the fan goes; I thought he was going to clean it up better.  He did vacuum up the floor.  He only spent an hour and a half here and $368 is kind of pricey.  I don’t know what electricians charge these days.  They should have done better."

"

I have lived in my home for 20 years. I have had work done in many areas. This company was very professional.

I told the Owner what I would like ceiling cans in the Master bedroom and complete a job in the garage that another contractor

didn't finish.

Within 24hr I had a bid. I made arrangement to have the work done.  The General and his Crew came in completed the job within the time period that was agreed upon by both parties. What I really liked about this company the Owner did 90% of the work. The crew cleaned up every day so I never felt like my house was torn apart. These guys were awesome. The General even pointed out some basic electrical work previously done that wasn't up to code and he fixed that mess. I will use I Electrical for all future electrical Jobs and would highly recommend them

I am very HAPPY and have  recommend this company to my coworkers and neighbors.

Thank you I Electric! I will be calling you soon!

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Stainless steel or aluminum fans are long-lasting and have less air resistance. They are best for outdoor use as their durability helps them withstand unpleasant weather conditions. Their heavy weight requires a stronger motor, which leads to more noise than other blade materials.

Wooden fan blades are a classic, durable option. They are much quieter than metal fans and feature a wide range of styles and finishes to choose from. However, they can be damaged by moisture if not covered with plastic.

Plastic fan blades are lightweight, easy to clean, and versatile. There are various shapes and styles to choose from as plastic is easily molded and dyed. They will also deteriorate slower than other materials as they aren’t as susceptible to humidity and moisture.

Most ceiling fans have a lifespan of anywhere from five to 15 years or 10 years on average. Just how long your ceiling fan lasts depends on the quality of the parts, how much it’s used, and how well you maintain it. A fan with a weak motor that runs on the medium setting nonstop is likely to have a shorter lifespan compared to a fan with a powerful motor that runs on the slowest setting for air circulation.

Though possible, installing a ceiling fan yourself requires electrical knowledge and confidence working with home wiring. Following the manufacturer's instructions carefully and observing safety precautions are crucial components of a DIY installation.

When choosing a mounting bracket, you have the option between flush mounts and downrod mounts. Flush mounts are the better option for low ceilings as they feature a lower profile. Downrod mounts are the optimal choice for rooms with high ceilings as they offer a pole that adjusts the height of the fan.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.
