"Garafano Electric has being taking care of all the electrical needs and upgrades in our 90 plus year old house for a few years now. They always do A+ work. We're currently in the middle of some home renovations and they've been willing and able to work with our erratic schedule. Honest, dependable, and great at what they do. Can't recommend them high enough!"

"Had an electrician out to give me an estimate on replacing my electrical panel. Decided against replacing it because that wouldn't have solved my issue. My house was built in the 60's so it needs all new wiring. I just had him show me which outlets were on each of the channels so that I could spread out my devices that needed a lot of power, specifically my space heaters."

"We used Direct Electric before and been very satisfied with them. This was the first time that we did not get called back right away and had to call multiple times just to get called back. They usually do charge a bit more than most companies, but they do really great work. Justin the installer is always great to work with. We will try them again next time and hopefully the responsiveness was a one time thing.

Customers say: Quick response

"Ryan were prompt. Ryan explained to me the work they were going to do again (after our initial phone conversation). They wired two rooms for ceiling fans and hung the fans. Price was very reasonable also. They completed the work timely and professional. I would recommend them for any electrical work you may need and I plan to hire them for any future electric work if and when I needed it."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Murrieta, HVAC systems and pool equipment often require electrical attention due to the area’s hot summers and frequent use. Kitchens and bathrooms typically need updates for new appliances and GFCI outlet protection. Garages used for EV charging or as workshops, as well as outdoor outlets exposed to sun and heat, are common areas for electrical maintenance or panel upgrades in local homes.

Helpful?

Homes in Murrieta built before 1980 often have outdated wiring or insufficient electrical panels, making them prime candidates for upgrades. If you experience frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or lack enough outlets for modern appliances, it’s a sign your home may need electrical improvements. Planning for solar installation, adding a pool, or installing an EV charger also indicates your home could benefit from updated home wiring.

Helpful?

For electrical maintenance in Murrieta, keep a non-contact voltage tester, circuit breaker finder, and GFCI outlet tester for safety checks. Stock UV-resistant wire connectors and weatherproof outlet covers for outdoor use, plus heat-shrink tubing for attic wiring. Spare circuit breakers, GFCI and USB outlets, and surge protectors are also helpful, especially given the region’s intense sun and frequent use of outdoor electrical systems.

Helpful?

In Murrieta, smart home upgrades like whole-home automation, smart switches, and EV charging stations are in high demand. Many homeowners are investing in electrical panel upgrades to support solar panel systems and energy-efficient LED lighting. Outdoor living spaces are also a focus, with requests for landscape lighting, weatherproof outlets, and pool equipment wiring to handle the region’s warm climate and active lifestyles.

Helpful?

In Murrieta, homes with limited attic access, slab foundations, or stucco exteriors can make electrical work more challenging. Open floor plans may restrict new outlet placement, while two-story layouts or additions with older wiring often require extra planning. If your garage is detached or far from the main panel, or you have solar panels, coordinating electrical upgrades may need a professional assessment for optimal results.
