"It went incredibly! Gustavo did a wonderful job installing a brand new stainless steel sink, and it looks like it has been there since the kitchen was first built! Seamlessly ties in all of our appliances, and he stayed a little later to get to project done in one day! Gustavo came out and did an original consult before we hired him, and he was super friendly! I will be hiring him for all of my plumbing needs going forward! His work is quality, and he is a quality human being! He made me feel totally confident in the estimate he gave me, and the result is better than I could have imagined! Thank you Gustavo!"

"JPC team did an excellent, professional job on our storm water sump pumps related project. (Two sump pumps were working; they did not need repairs.) 1) Cut and replaced two broken pipes; installed new valves 2) New float sensors installed and set to auto-start the sump pumps 3) long outflow pine, connecting to city's water drainage system, was cleaned using long snake and high pressure water pump combination. 4) successful final test with water filled in water chamber and sump pumps working 5) JPC gave warranty for work done and signed up for once-a-year annual maintenance visit in October."

"The install went smoothly. The work was thorough and they took time to review what they did and explain how to properly flush the tank to extend it’s working life. I would certainly recommend and use them again for future work."

"We thought we needed just our washer drain unclogged so we called the company that had fixed that before, you guys. Guys came out. Under the house they discovered rusted sewer lines. When we had our plumbing redone years ago, the company who did those did not remove the old lines. Those old lines were up against the sewer lines and were corroding our sewer lines. So we had to replace the sewer lines. A broken line just before the city line was discovered so we had to replace that too. Anyhow, we so appreciated the kind workers who smiled and waved at us. They worked around our water schedule as we have a physically disabled adult son we care for. They let us watch all the things they had to do. I took pictures and the guys were fine with that. My brand new front yard was not ruined by trenchless sewer system that went in. And my yard looks like we never had sewer lines done. It was amazing. Yes, we would recommend you to all."

"The Tankless Guys not only installed a new water softener system, they also put in a new tankless water heater and a new toilet. They provided excellent service. We had a range of options to choose from and Sergio and his team performed all the work in a timely manner. Sergio also answered any questions we had thoroughly. I highly recommend them!"

"It was a pleasure working with the founder and owner Mr. Andy Stehr of STEHR CONCRETE. Before hiring any contractor, I highly recommend that you check the Contractors State License Board website (cslb.ca.gov) to make sure the contractor is Licensed, Bonded, and carries Workers Compensation Insurance. As a C-8 Concrete Contractor, STEHR CONCRETE checks all of these boxes. I selected 5 contractors from the CSLB to bid on my backyard new concrete patio project. 2 contractors never called me back. 1 The bid of the contractors was way out of line. STEHR Concrete and another bid of the contractors were almost identical. The difference, Andy Stehr spent more time with me explaining the complete process including how to color the new concrete. He made a color sample for me in my backyard. The color process is not like painting concrete. It takes a skilled concrete finisher, like Andy and his crew, to get the color right. In addition, the highly skilled framing of the new patio is very important to the final product. Here are the details of the project and photos posted: 1. Demolition and removal of the 1962 old concrete patio 2. Base rock, 3/8 inch rebar, and expert framing completed 3. 750 sq. ft of new concrete patio poured 4. 4-inch-thick concrete, 3000 psi (6-sack) mix. Quality material. I will be calling STEHR CONCRETE for all of my concrete projects in the future."

"I had Pedro and his team to do concrete for my backyard, side walkways, front courtyard which are added up about 3500 sf. Backyard is dirt yard, side walkway and courtyard had existing cracked concrete which require demolition. The side yard next to the garage is wide enough so we constructed it to be an extra car park! After negotiation for my limited budget Pedro gave me some discount and we came up with agreement on the contract. Pedro scheduled a time and estimated of 8 to10 working days to finish the project. The Xtreme concrete crews are fantastic - they were at my house everyday at 8:0am and worked tirelessly until 5:00pm or 6:00pm. Actually the project was extended with extra work as demolition was completed we discovered that our courtyard walls were baseless and not well secure which expose a safety concern. Pedro and his project manager Oscar raised the concern and discussed with me of the problem and they came up with the fix using add on 4zx4 press- treated posts. When the project was going on I also realized that there was good opportunity for me to add in the drainage system, they agreed and charged me with a reasonable price for both add on in the last minutes. I was amazed how fast they completed my project in just 8 days, 2 days ahead of schedule including two last minutes add on! Pedro was very clear communication with me from the beginning till the end. The Xtreme concrete management is thoughtful, respectful, organized and well scheduled. I always have the feeling that they are trustful, friendly and listen to customer's need. They actually ran extra miles for me, I would absolutely use them again. While I did get "cheaper" quotes from other parties, I had a great feeling speaking with Pedro and trusted my gut that this is the premier company. I was very happy and satisfied with Xtreme concrete. Thank you, Xtreme concrete!"

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

If your basement often leaks after heavy rain, it’s probably caused by hydrostatic pressure. When the ground is saturated with water, it can put pressure on the exterior of your home’s foundation, causing cracks in the basement wall and pushing water through any existing weak spots. Over time, hydrostatic pressure can cause structural damage to your home.

Thankfully, you do have a few sump pump backup options in case it fails. One option is a battery-powered backup sump pump. Another option is using a portable backup generator as a power supply for your sump pump. Unlike a battery-powered backup which has limited power, a generator can run around the clock for as long as you need it.

Or you can opt for a water-powered backup pump, which uses your home’s water supply as a source of power. However, this may not be the best option if you find your house frequently has low water pressure.

Yes, it’s possible to install a sewage ejector pump outside rather than in a basement. However, there may be some extra steps involved, including running pipes from the inside to the outside of your home and digging (and re-filling) a hole for the basin. If you aren’t comfortable with this type of work, contact a plumbing pro to handle it for you.

Yes, the air from a damp basement can travel up into your living area through a process called the stack effect, so moisture, mold spores, and other debris in your basement air can all decrease your indoor air quality on your main floors. Additionally, damp basements can promote the rotting of building materials, which can damage flooring, insulation, and framing on your first floor in addition to materials in the basement.

There are a few possible sump pump drainage locations, including a neighborhood storm drain, into a creek or pond, or underground. Don’t let your sump pump water go into your sewer or septic system. Ideally, your drainage spot should be on a downhill slope that’s at least 10 to 20 feet away from your home’s foundation. Before choosing a location, check your local codes and regulations.
