Customers say: Quick response

"What a great visit!  I signed up, and he came the next day - when does that happen?
Prompt, incredibly courteous and respectful.  I work from home, and I could hardly tell he was here he worked so quietly.  And the windows are so clean I keep forgetting they're closed.  I appreciated the extra care he took with our special windows - in an incredibly hard to reach spot, small little panes, original glass from the 1920's.  He took so much care that it was as if it was his own house!

"I don’t know what made me so happy first, after Selma and her assistant, did a fantastic job cleaning my apartment. It was either their immaculate over-the-top detail focused cleaning or their very warm hearted and caring personalities. Not only was I so happy with the finished project but I felt they are a honest and trustworthy team, whom I look forward to scheduling with them on a regular basis. I highly recommend Safe House Cleaning Services and especially feeling safe (pun intended) with this wonderful team in your home."

"Advance Carpet & Tile Cleaning is OUTSTANDING!!! The carpet was very, very dirty and stained and had not been cleaned in years. After calling them they arranged an appointment immediately. They came in and did an outstanding job getting every area of the house cleaner than it has been in years. They took the time they needed to make a filthy carpet look like new again, and I am not exaggerating on what a remarkable job they did. I will hire them again and would gladly recommend them to everyone. Very professional."

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Coca-Cola isn’t a very effective method for cleaning toilet bowl stains on its own. The idea is that since it contains carbonic, citric, and phosphoric acids, it can wipe out your hard water stains after sitting for a few hours. While it can work on lighter stains if you heat it, let it sit overnight, and scrub your toilet, it’s unlikely to make a noticeable difference on stubborn stains.

The time it takes to complete a move-out cleaning depends on the size of your home and its current condition. However, a four-person cleaning crew can usually clean a 1,000-square foot space in one hour. If you tackle this project yourself, it might take multiple days to complete, depending on your home size and needs.

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.

To clean a subfloor after removing carpet, start by removing any leftover debris, such as stuck-on underlay, nails, or staples. Next, thoroughly vacuum the subfloor to eliminate dust, dirt, and loose particles. If adhesive residue remains, you can use an adhesive remover, a scraper, or a sander to gently lift it off. Finally, clean the surface by mopping or wiping it down with a damp rag and allow it to dry completely. This preparation is essential for ensuring new flooring adheres properly and to prevent bumps or wrinkles from forming.

Services include ash removal, chimney cleaning, gasket checks, and inspection of cracks or damage.
