"We received several bids on the work we needed done. Mario Diaz Flooring was not the cheapest bid and not the most expensive. We chose them because of their ratings and the confidence Mario had that we would love the end product. Our situation was not just refinishing original hardwood floors, putting adding a brand new 300 square foot oak floor with a 70-year-old existing oak floor that flow together. When we pulled up the carpet, we had a lot of stains in the wood, some fresh and wet from my daughter's dog when they visit us, which I was not aware existed. I was amazed that Mario’s crew got all the stains out and the new room they added matched the old oak floors so well. They did a beautiful job. They showed up everyday and completed the job in a timely manner. The crew worked very hard and were very polite. A few companies that quoted the project seemed to make a big deal about adding a brand new room with the original oak flooring we had. Mario assured us we would be happy with the end product and gave us confidence in his craftsmanship. He said our floors will look pretty much the same because he uses solid oak similar to what was used in the 1950s (newer but oak). He uses a process to age the wood to help it match the original. We were amazed how the floors matched up so perfectly. They laid it down piece-by-piece (no fake wood or prefab material). We absolutely love the look of our new floors. I will never cover up these beautiful wood floors with carpet ever again. I encourage people to get multiple bids and have conversations with the companies. It is time consuming but worth the effort or just skip them all and call Mario Diaz' company. If you get multiple bids, you will figure out fast who is taking advantage and highballing the project."

"I had such a good experience with Thomas and his team that I am actively searching out places to review him without even being asked. I recently bought my first home which was advertised as having original wood floors under the carpet. As soon as I got my keys I ripped up the carpet and exposed the floors. This wasn't the standard refinish job... my floors were BAD. Holes and all. Thomas and his team gave my home a new life. "It worked out pretty well. There was only one little glitch and that was in the buying of the faucets and that turned out to be a little fiasco but other than that everything turned out well. I guess the price was alright, what happened is I had to have a lot more things done. Actually, I figured it was around 50 something feet. The end result was it cost me $4600.00. Originally, they said it was going to be around $1400.00 but with the sinks and they really kind of took me on the faucets. They were about double the price. The work was neat and whatever. The extras were more than I thought they would be. The one thing that was screwed up was my fault to a degree and their fault to a degree. What happened was I had the counters put in and then I said I wanted to put in a six inch backsplash. Now, what happened was in my 3 installations that were going to go in, there was a mirror that was going to go in. Really, what happened was they ripped it up and when they were going to put it in and the back splash they should not have made it a 6 inch, they should have made it after the rip out was how it was going to be because what happened is now I have a half inch on one side between the mirror and what I'm trying to fix with tile and 3/4 of an inch in another area. So, basically, it became a little bit of a nightmare for me but I'm straightening it out. I can do a lot of work myself but at the same token that's why I hired them. It would have made it a whole lot easier for me if when they took the top off if they would have measured to the mirror and then it would have wound up it would have been tight.
I would use them in the future but I would set different parameters."
