"I had AC Dave preform three jobs for me over the past few years. (1) New ducts a few years ago. (2) Installed a mini-split heat pump in master bedroom this year. (3) Then a few months later I had him remove my old Central AC and replace it with an 18 SEER heat pump and new coil, all the while leaving my old furnace in place as a back up. Dave and his guys did a great job on all three projects, completing each one in a day. Highly recommended."

"Ray is very professional, and provided options for my air conditioning unit replacement. Ray went out of his way to replace a small gas line leak that he found. He also drove to Anaheim early on Saturday morning to pick up a part that was needed for the AC unit, and came over to install it so that I would have the air conditioner available for the upcoming heat wave this week. There are two main reasons your furnace and AC are turning on at the same time. The first could be that you’re confusing the furnace with the blower. The blower is located in the furnace and will turn on to distribute cool air from the air conditioner through the ductwork in the home. This is normal. If the actual furnace is turning on at the same time as the AC and hot and cool air are coming into the home, it could be a result of incorrect writing to a new thermostat or new systems.

There are many signs of a bad AC fan motor, including if the fan blades don’t spin when the AC kicks on or if they keep spinning when the AC is off. The AC fan cools down the condenser coil, so a faulty motor can also cause the system to overheat. Unusual noises in the exterior AC unit, including grinding or rattling sounds, may also be a sign that the AC fan motor is worn out.

If you have central air conditioning, it’s fine to run your AC all day if that’s what you want—as long as the AC unit is in good condition. But if your AC runs constantly when you don’t want it to, there may be a problem with your system (like the ones we’ve mentioned above).
