"The job finally got done, but it was a painful process. We called WDR around 9am and were told someone would be at our house between 12pm and 2pm to extract the water. Someone showed up at 2pm and did not have a large enough extractor to do the job. He called for another truck to come with a larger extractor. The 2nd truck showed up with two people in it shortly after 4pm and their extractor was also not large enough to do the job. They estimated that it would take them 5 hours to extract all of the water in our basement with their 100 gallon extractor. They sent the first truck to San Leandro to pick up a sump pump to pump the water out onto the street (fortunately, it was clean water). While the first truck driver was picking up the sump pump, the 2 men in the 2nd truck refused to continue to pump out the water with their truck until we signed their contracts. They provided us an estimate of $1140 when they had been at our house for almost 4 hours without having done very much work. We finally settled on an agreement just as the 1st driver showed up with the sump pump. An hour and a half later, the job was done and the final quote we were given was very fair, almost half of the original estimate. Toward the end of the job, the team was accommodating and worked to reduce cost by sending home everyone but the lead tech.
Having a flooded basement is traumatic and having a water extraction team that wasted so much of our time and energy was not at all helpful. Fortunately, everyone was nice and cordial and we worked out a satisfactory deal in the end, but unfortunately, I can't say that I would use this service again.

"Nato came on a Thursday and did an initial estimate. He was very clear that the garden would look a little bare for a few weeks as he'd have to cut things back pretty far. His estimate was 1/2 that of the other companies we talked to, and he was willing to come on the weekends, which made things much easier for us. He came back just three days later (on a Saturday) and two of his men spent 8 hours here. They left with a truck overflowing with trimmings, and even removed a small tree for us. Nato supervised them at the beginning and end, and the team was great to work with (we were working in the front yard while they were in the back) - extremely helpful and courteous. Total bill was just what he said - $500. We also gave each of the two guys a tip (though we were never asked to do so and I didn't even detect a hint of expecting one). The cleanup looks great though, as he cautioned, things are a little barren while we wait for them to grow back. For large cleanup jobs, this company is excellent. Though I use an all organic company for regular maintenance now (I would use Nato if I was not so into organic gardening), I will certainly call Nato and his team for the next large job. Highly recommend."

Removed stain at bottom of toilet bowl caused by implement used, and showed me how to remove water and refill if it needs to be cleaned in future. "The work included bolting the walls to the foundation, installing universal foundations plates in areas of limited access, fastening the floor system to the cripple walls, “strapping” seams in the wall plates, installation of new blocking where necessary to receive proper nailing, and installation of shear paneling on all accessible cripple walls. The garage wing walls were strengthened by adding additional stud framing members, anchoring the wall systems to the foundation with“holdowns” and strapping the garage header to the wall systems on either side to form a “continuous” load. I was very impressed with the ease of communications with this company. I never had to wait long for a call back on any question I had. What a pleasure to do business with such a wonderful firm."
