Made appointment for water heater check & given 3PM -5 PM same day. No show, no call. I called 505 PM and was told they would try to contact and would call back. They called 20 minutes later & said they hadn't heard from him and did I want to make another appointment? Really?????

Installation of a new garbage disposal was the latest service we have received from Stewart Heating, Air and Plumbing. Terry H came at the agreed time. He was fa st and did a good job. With his friendly personality he is a fine representative of “Stewart”, the company we like to recommend to others,

Initially I was pleased however after the first scheduled routine service, by a rival company with whom I already had a service contract, I was much less than pleased. They did no service just an overall inspection of the work Stewart's had performed. They wrote up pages of issues and took 28 photos to back up their evidence. I sent both to Stewart's in email and made an appointment, which then got cancelled due to covid isolation. Stewart's has made NO MOVE or EFFORT to make another appointment to correct the issues outlined in the report. I have sent off another email today but if no reply is forthcoming I will need to take it to the next level.

Worked and came back when needed reset

Great! Timely, courteous & I was most appreciative of how accommodatiing/patient they were in regard to my elderly neighbor. I served as a back up & they kept me in the loop for throughout the entire installation.

Right off the bat I wasn't thrilled because I needed two appointments. One for hvac and one for plumbing. Ok, fine... During the furnace inspection Bart found a gas leak in the flex line to the furnace. He fixed it best he could and let me know. He said he didn't have the part and he would let the office know that when the plumbing people come out the next day they can fix it. Super. Day 2 and Jason shows up and I let him know whats going on with the toilet, but no one had let him know about the gas leak. So I called the office and let the lady know what was going on and that there was apparently a miscommunication. She called Bart, who called Jason and explained what was going on. During all this back and forth Jason identified that the toilet needed to be repaired or replaced. They want $201 to repair if they even can, $553 to install a new toilet if we buy it elsewhere and $801 to buy it from them and have them install. All of the above are higher than any other quote we got from any other place we called. Unfortunately, Jason doesn't have a ladder, so he can't look at the leak. I call the office again and they can send someone back out again the next day to repair. I ask if they are going to charge me the base fee for coming back out again and she says no, but then quotes me $199 plus parts to replace the flex line. I call Sexton Heating and Air and they quote me $150 plus parts and he says that includes the base service fee. Needless to say, Sexton is coming out tomorrow. I've been using Stewart for our annual AC and furnace inspections and for all of our plumbing needs that have popped up over the last few years and after this they have lost a customer. At the very least, they lost my trust.

Don was prompt and quick at evaluating the solution to the problem. He had the needed part on hand. Verified with me, prior to replacing the part, that I wanted to put the money towards the repair or towards a new unit since my unit was old. This occurred over the Labor Day weekend (Saturday) and I called at least 6 other companies to find someone who was available. Stewart was the only one available and provided service on Monday for a reasonable "holiday" fee.

Great. Service person found nothing wrong. Was straight-up and honest about the unit.

Turns out they could have replaced the system but it wasn't cost-effective for my budget. They were super professional and punctual; even called to confirm my appointment for the quote. Sad to not use them yet, but would definitely go with them in the future.

Smooth process from start to finish

So very professional and knowledgeable. I was given 3 price/material options and the materials and process were thoroughly explained before I committed. Can't say enough great things about the estimator (Jamie) who came out and followed the project to completion. Installers were polite and cleaned up very thoroughly. I felt safe while they were in my home. I will use Stewart for any future HVAC needs!

They did a super job. All I need is someone to come out and change the filter and check it because I have a warranty for any repairs that need to be done on my heater. I will probably go back to them to do the yearly.

They did replace a part which I gave the go ahead for. I have no idea if it was a good price because I did not do any price checking . , They were professional, on tine and the furnace is working fine, no compliant there.

TO THE POINT, PROFESSIONAL AND VERY RESPONSIVE, HONORED THE COUPON, TENANTS WERE VERY SATISFIED.

They did a quick and efficient job. No pushing items not needed.

That's the same people that put it in 40 years ago. He's been excellent. They handle everything they're perfect. For everything that needed to be done they do it and there's never a problem and whenever there's an outage they come right out and work until it's fixed that's why I'm on a contract with them. They're on time, they do the work and if a part breaks they're not responsible for the manufacturer of the part comes out and change it right away.

We were giving a wrong diagnosis that was submitted to our insurance company. Another cooling and heating company checked our A/C and found nothing wrong. An additional $65.00 cost. We had a third opinion and again nothing was wrong with our A/C.

Our air conditioner broke down and I called Stewart Heating. I got their name and number off of Angie's List. The technician came to the house the next day and examined our air conditioner to see what the issue was. He advised that he could temporarily fix the unit but it was 28 years old and the item that needed fixing is not made any more and it would cost to have a part made for it. He told us about a program that allows homeowners to replace old items with energy efficient items (Hero) and asked if we would be interested in getting more details about it. In the mean time he temporarily fixed the air conditioner. Within a few days, Mr Bill Stewart came over to the house and talked to us about the program. We decided that day to go with it and Mr Stewart helped fill in the required paperwork to get everything moving. Within a week we had a date set up for the work to start. All the workers from Stewart Heating Air and Plumbing were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves every day and also took the time to explain to us what was being done. After finishing everything, took about 3 days from start to finish, they walked me through everything and how it works. They installed a new computer panel on the wall that controls the heat and air and showed me how to program everything. Since everything was installed, they have called to see how everything was working and to see if I had any questions. They have also been out just recently to check on the new systems and also to change the filter in the Air/Heater unite. After having everything replaced, the house has been much cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The new tankless water heater needed to have the temperature turned down a little as it got hot a lot faster than the old and a lot hotter set on the same setting as the old.

Repaired leaks. Great job! I will use them for all repairs that they service in future.

Aaron arrived on time. Proceeded to check air conditioning unit. Checked each vent to confirm operation. Repaired broken vent and insured all others were sealed correctly. Professional and courteous.

Overall, Stewart's did a decent job; enough that I give them an A for the work that they did. I might consider them for further work, but only if they were in the same price range as others, after I did thorough research. The air conditioner of my central heating system stopped working just as the heat was starting to increase for the year. I used this service call to figure out what was wrong with the system. I specifically told the company that my unit was on the second floor. But I think they misunderstood; it was on the 2nd floor of an overhead crawl space, and required a ladder to access. For that reason they had to come again to actually do the check. I can say they did an accurate job of diagnosing the specific problem because I got a second opinion. I was not thrilled by the solution on they proposed, which was 1) get a repair at $300+ and/or 2) replace the furnace (~$4000). Remember the repair was for the air conditioner. They said the check revealed that the system was old (knew that), that it was rusted out, and needed replacing immediately (not quite true). Any repair would only put a bandage on a more severe problem. But then, I realized I had paid for a system check by a service company whose job it is to sell air conditioners and furnaces. I should have expected that. To end this repair story, the part they told me broke, I did have replaced, by another company for nearly half the price. The other company verified that was indeed the problem, and sure, I could get a new furnace, but I probably had at least another season with the current one. Plus the part that broke was not due to an inefficient furnace, thought it didn't help matters.

Our heater died on 1/16/16. My husband called and got an appointment for Sunday afternoon at 3pm. The technician called and said he could be early if that was convenient, which was great. He performed the diagnostic (for $89). His conclusion: "found bad board ($1,092) and spark igniter ($558). Due to age and condition of unit recommend replacing unit ($3,767)." We were also told that the price of the diagnostic could go towards the cost of service if ordered within 48 hours. My husband did some research online and discovered that the cost of a new motherboard was less than 1/5th of what we were quoted. Based on this, we decided to get a 2nd opinion. After another 30 minutes to test/diagnose, the only issue discovered was the spark igniter, which cost $97 and took about 15 minutes to replace. We were also told that our furnace was in good condition. Overall impression is that scare tactics were used to pressure us into purchasing a new unit.

They came out right around the purchase time. There were no extra charges. The thing that stood out about them was the individual who came was seemingly qualified for the job. It was really clear and he did make a statement that plumbing is new for Stewart Heating and Air and it's something that they recently added. Therefor he wasn't equipped to necessarily handle anything and everything plumbing related but he was professional and absolutely kind. He quickly recognized that Extra Hands, the previous person that tried to repair a fixture, a bathroom tub fixture, broke it and completely damaged it. He did recognize it and I will give it to him he did know what he was doing and did his best to repair. They were unable to fix it but it was most certainly not his fault. I would give them a B just for effort. They were courteous, great at trouble shooting, gave some suggestions as to other places we may be able to find a fixture, and honest, he just laid out the facts for me. I would use their services in the future but not for plumbing.

Our Guest Suite has an independent Heating/Cooling system. It suddenly stopped working one day. Our Home Insurance company said that this was a commercial grade unit so won't be covered under warranty. I looked up on Angie's List and contacted Stewart Heating. They sent a technician over; he was very knowledgeble and professional. It turned out that the unit was not broken and was going in defrost mode. He educated me on the unit and changed the filter that has been changed in a long time. He spent a lot of time making sure there was nothing wrong with the unit and went though all the major components of the unit. I am very happy with their service and will use them again.
