"Home Guard Pest Control is a very professional company. I highly recommend their service. Technician, Erik, is knowledgeable, caring and efficient. There were critters in the garage and Erik was able to clear them out. I'm impressed with his follow through, communication & consideration for my home and dog. The 60 day guarantee is resonable. I'm at peace knowing those creepy pests are no longer comfortable or welcomed on my property!"

"Quality work at a reasonable price. Do not be fooled by other vendors. I had one guy tell me I had termites when the droppings turned out to be cricket droppings. Green Jack is honest, friendly and really does a great job. Joaquin is the best! Thank you."

"Was done with good quality job. Even though the price was on higher side we are happy with the service. The best is they use green, none harmful products which we didn't have to clear out the house during and after the treatment. I have two parakees free flying inside the house and they were not affected. If these little birds were okay I have confidence this treatment has no harm to human as I was told. Now the left to concer is to see how long this treatment is going to less. The guaranteed for the work is two years."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Legal considerations include adherence to local and federal wildlife protection laws, particularly for species that might be protected or endangered.

Natural swimming pools are designed to deter pests, including mosquitoes. While any body of water can potentially attract pests, the natural filtration system keeps the water clean and constantly moving. Mosquitoes specifically are attracted to standing water, so the continuously circulating water in a natural pool makes it an inhospitable environment for them.

There are DIY methods and store-bought pesticides available for the public to use. However, these pesticides also come with a risk, and you need to follow the directions correctly and take precautionary measures to prevent exposure to these chemicals. These methods may be an option for small pest problems, but you should call in a pest control specialist for persistent pests and infestations.

Identifying the specific animal running on your roof at night can be challenging without direct observation. Common nocturnal roof visitors include raccoons, squirrels, opossums, and rats. Raccoons are bigger and can create heavy thumping sounds. Squirrels are agile and may produce rapid scurrying noises. Opossums tend to move stealthily with less noise. Rats can make scratching or gnawing sounds. To determine the culprit, look for signs like footprints, droppings, or damaged areas near the roof. For accurate identification, consult a pest control professional or set up wildlife cameras near potential entry points.

To keep animals out, you must prevent them from entering. As long as they can get in, the problem will persist. That said, consider making your attic less inviting using deterrents like motion-activated lights or ultrasonic devices. Additionally, keeping a well-maintained, clean, and uncluttered attic that you regularly inspect for activity may make the space less attractive to critters.
