"HVAC is directly related to health. They removed the old ducts and installed new ducts and a brand new HVAC system. They also installed a nest thermostat. They are extremely professional, came on time, finished in two days as they had promised., gave me plenty heads up on the arrival of technicians, start and stop, were very conscious of Covid protocols and did follow up. I bought their annual membership. They took great care of me and with the membership, I know I will be taken care of! I will use them for my other properties and give my highest recommendation! Thank you perfect star!"

"Needed gas fireplace maintenance. They came by, diagnosed the problem quickly, told me the part to order and said that I could actually fix it myself when I get it - no charge! But when I received the part from Amazon I asked them to come back to install it. Their office is only about a mile from my house in Fairfield, but the day they came they were working in Berkeley - obviously very popular! They showed up, put the part in, did a little troubleshooting, and we had a working fireplace again! They were very nice and professional and inexpensive - I would definitely hire them again for any HVAC problem. Lucky to have them so close."

"Overall experience was average. First day of installation was okay until I find out half of the house did not have power. Edgar came back the next day and explained the cause and fixed it with ease. Was getting push back about how everything was installed as it was and there shouldnâ t be any issues, well there was and he graciously came back and fixed the problem. I would definitely use this company in the future."

"Elsy ( I believe she was the plumber from your company via Angi) arrived as scheduled, on Saturday, 09/28/2024. She attempted to repair my garbage disposal unit but was unable to do so as the unit's wiring was worn out. I advised the unit is 40 yrs old. She recommended to purchase a new one. We made a trip together to the local Home Depot store and I purchased the same brand s she recommended. She installed it in record time (within the 2.5 hrs) and completed the job. She also cleaned the work space and carried the old one to my recycling bin. Very satisfied with her work. Also, I want to know if I will receive a billing statement for my records? Thank you for your time & assistance."

"Great! Richard was prompt in emailing the bid and showing up on time. He was professional, friendly and cleaned up after the job was completed. He even installed a fourth light fixture that was not on the original bid and was able to move a latch on our gate so we could close it again. Yeah! He also gave me a senior discount. I will definitely be calling him again."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Sure, they are icky to behold, but are silverfish bad? In terms of illness or injury to humans, the answer is no because they don’t bite or carry disease. However, they can damage household items, including books, wallpaper, certain foods, and clothing, as they love to feed on starchy materials and adhesives. What’s more, their presence often indicates high humidity or moisture issues in the home, which can lead to further pest problems.

Aphid infestations happen when aphid-attracting plants like mustard and nasturtium are present, there’s a lack of predators, or plants are weak. Avoid plants that aphids love, and consider increasing natural predators that keep aphids at bay. Birds, wasps, and ladybugs play roles in balancing out aphid infestations, so add pollinator plants and habitats to your yard that attract birds and other aphid predators.

Cold winter months won’t always kill off fleas completely. Your home is typically warm enough for fleas to survive or, at least, for the eggs to lay dormant, ready to hatch when warmer weather arrives. Plus, waiting for the winter isn’t a good idea. The infestation will continue to grow, and fleas carry pathogens that can harm humans and pets.

Skunks spray as a defense mechanism to ward off predators. The active ingredient in their sulfurous, oily musk is n-butyl mercaptan, which evaporates into a powerful and smelly gas. Once the spray hits the skunk’s target, the stench can linger for days, and water and common cleaning kits aren’t enough to wash it away.

If you happen upon a skunk in your yard, try to back away slowly to reduce the chance of them aiming at you. Encouragingly, they don’t use their weapon casually, as it can take up to 10 days for their life-saving weaponry to refill. Paw stamping, hissing, lifting their tail, and arching their back are early signs they feel trapped or under threat and that it’s time to make a careful retreat.

In most cases, a mother bird will return to a disturbed nest after the disturbance has passed. However, it can be hard for a mother bird to find a relocated nest. So, while it’s false that a mother bird will abandon her nest if it’s been disturbed, it’s not a good idea to relocate a nest with live babies or eggs in it.
