"Humberto was very responsive, talked us through the project and the options. He is a great listener and together we came up with a solution for our project. Other companies told us they could not schedule us in for 4 months, Humberto was able to do the work a few days after we contacted him. He did the grading himself. It was truly masterful!"

"I am incredibly pleased with this company. The entire crew were 100% professional. The owner of the company took time to answer my homeowner questions as they came up. He was very patient and thorough. All the men on the job worked incredibly hard and stayed on task throughout the project. They installed the French drain, installed a washout and removed an old deck all in a weekend. I would most certainly recommend them."

"Vinny Landscaping constructed 50+ ft retaining wall and new Redwood fence. He was my third estimate with a promise I would be pleased. He exceeded my expectations! He utilized partial existing fence, designed 'French drain, updates daily, and stayed in budget. I will be hiring again for concrete and drainage solutions. The fence is zigzag for extra privacy + ! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐"

"They were fast and efficient. They did leave the chips from the stump grinding which I thought they would remove. It cost me 300 more dollars to have them removed. The contract said remove all green waste. So I feel like the cleanup and removal costs weren't disclosed ahead of time."

FAQs for brush chipping projects in Fairfield, CA

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

On the inexpensive end, red and black mulch are about $35 to $40 per cubic yard, and are typically made from recycled waste wood like shredded old pallets or deck material. Cedar, cypress, and rubber mulch cost anywhere from $100 to $120 per cubic yard. A pro can help you determine the type of mulch most suitable for your landscaping needs.

Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.
