"Mark was extremely patient with me, waiting for me to decide what I want done. I have changed my mind many many times, and Mark stuck with me. He was never aggressive in wanting to get the work done. He was willing to wait until I decided no matter how many times I changed my mind. Finally after a couple months it was time for him to do what I needed. I must say he exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Very customer service orientated always looking at what it was that I wanted done not pushy in anyway. His patients went above, and beyond what I would consider acceptable for many people. I am very thankful for his patience and his dedication to customer satisfaction. I would definitely recommend if you need anything done for your landscaping please contact them you wonâ t regret it. His pricing is great, customer service is top notch and the work that I had him do turned out beautifully. Not to mention that when I finally did contact him, we had three days to complete the work, and they did it in one day! Thank you Mark you are one of the few out there who actually care about your customers and youâ re not just out to see what you can get from us. You have dedicated time and effort into making sure I was happy, listening to me with all the things that I didnâ t like and didnâ t want. Youâ re one of a kind thatâ s for sure and I appreciate you."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

It is safe to remove old linoleum, but it may require the help of a specialist due to the risk of asbestos in the material. Before you cut into linoleum or try to peel it up, have it tested for asbestos. If it tests positive, professionals will need to remove it to prevent the risk of health issues from airborne toxic particles. If it’s asbestos-free, DIY removal is possible and safe.

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

You can paint over lead paint, or “encapsulate” it with a special paint that includes an ingredient called an encapsulant. The EPA approves encapsulation as a lead paint removal method as long as the paint remains undisturbed. Standard types of paint without an “encapsulant” from the big box stores or hardware stores do not meet EPA standards for remediation of lead-based paint.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.
