Aquatech Rain Gutters/ Soltech Patio CoversAfter getting our stucco updated and the trim completely repainted, we decided to get new gutters throughout. Aquatech Raingutters did the job for a reasonable price, and satisfied our needs. We got a line-item estimate which stayed firm, the crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up any debris before we did a walk-around. The seamless gutters were flawlessly installed (and since have been "rain tested"), and every detail was professionally completed. We are satisfied customers and can recommend Aquatech Raingutters without reservation.- Thomas R.

R' METAL STORM RAIN GUTTERSExcellent company to have gutters installed. They're very knowledgeable, quick, reasonably priced and very respectful. I would definitely recommend them to everyone!- Ronald C.

ADVANCED RAINGUTTER SYSTEMS* We don't often write reviews, but my wife and I simply had to do so for Dieter and his company, Advanced Rain Gutter Systems. Our first terrific experience was some years ago, when Dieter did an amazing job installing gutters on our two-story home. He was amazingly responsive and did a terrific job for a very good price. Then, just recently, our beloved, first-born son, who was building a work gazebo for himself and his mother, passed. We wanted to save his work and, since Dieter's work was so good, we called him as the rains were a few days away. Dieter changed his travel plans, came by immediately and installed gutter on the structure a day before the rains came! Larger job or small job, he is simply someone we feel should be recognized and thanked.- John M.

Cowboys Roofing & ConstructionCowboy roofing were great. They came out twice to quote, once in the initial stages and again as we were narrowing contractors down. Their prices were on the lower end and the work looks great. They started immediately, their crews were polite, kept everything clean and did a really good job. They went above and beyond in their job. Would absolutely recommend them.- kati r.

Raneri & Long Roofing and WindowsI'm older than most reviewers so I haven't visited Angie's List a lot lately, but I wanted to let people know what we experienced with this company. Got bids from three roofers recommended by people on a neighborhood app. While all were comparable - we chose Raneri and Long because it's a family-owned company that's been around since the 1980s - and - it had the best policies and attitude about providing great service. Dave Hancock is the boss - and his grown kids, extended family and trusted crews run the show. Chatting with his workers - we learned most have been on board forever - so not a lot of turnover here, nice to see. SIX THINGS WE DISCOVERED: 1) They WON'T accept money up-front. No deposits. That was a first. If you pay up front - you've lost control. I think they know that - which is why its policy puts customers at ease. We didn't pay until the job was done. 2) No sub-contractors. A big deal because it's common for contractors to "sub out" their work to specialists with whom you have NO leverage. But R&L is an "all-in-one" biz that only does what it knows, i.e., roofing, solar, windows and gutters and a few other things. They don't do paint but they know who can. They don't hit you with stuff you won't need. 3) These guys are big about what they call, "trust and verify" - so that common issues like dry rot which causes leaks - you don't take their word for it. They brought down three rotted panels for us to inspect. BTW, you should expect dry rot because it's usually the main cause of leaks. 4) These guys aren't "hired hands" for "spot jobs." They're on the payroll, some for many years. They show up in big red trucks and vans - wearing red logo t-shirts. Shout out to Hector, Jesus, Carlos on-site and Emely and Perla at Mission Control. Can't remember all the names we dealt with, sorry, but they were all A+ - and it felt like everyone on-site was "in charge." 5) They gave us an estimate that was gold. Potential over-runs for dry rot, replacing panels and fascia - were detailed up front down to the linear foot - which INCLUDED materials AND labor. This is key because R&L does NOT use the term, "man-hours" like others - which can lead to "sticker shock" based on worker head counts. 6) They called and emailed us at the end of EACH WORK DAY - to update what they did - and what they were going to do the next day. (Ours was a five-day job.) There was no mess nor stray garbage left behind. LESSONS LEARNED: * The cost for new tile - is only marginally higher than re-using old tile. Because our home is more than 20 years old, we went for the new tile. On the first day, ten people came out at 730a and put tarps around our house and in our garage. By 2p, they had taken out about 2200 square feet of old and dirty tile. Days 2-3 involved ripping out and pounding in new boards, adding water-tight layers of black synthetic "underlayment" on top - (and not the old felt stuff made of tar) - and installed new tile. Days 4-5 were all about installing more new tile - and we saw a lot of precision sawing to make everything fit perfect. Bonus day 6 was us deciding at the last minute to replace a few dingy gutters. * Turns out this company has a lot of videos which break down what they do and why. DO look at them. Browse other reviews - and you'll notice how Dave Hancock and his family ALWAYS respond, esp. to issues that come up because no two roofs are alike. For me - (vs. my wife, who just loved Dave's "old school" manner) - R&L's desire to address problems "publicly" - sealed the deal. It's serious about protecting its brand - and plans to be around "forever." * Our roof is done and it's spectacular. Great service and clean-up - as if they were never here. A lot of good roofers are out there - but we chose one that felt like an experienced surgeon - with calm and caring manners. They will work with you on ANYTHING. They did for us - and we now have peace of mind - with NO uncertainty about what lies ahead. Thank you!- David K.

A bit of a wait due to the influx of strange weather patterns, but once the crew was up there they got it done efficiently, professionally, and it looks great. Had to have them come out to take replace an old roof on a condo and they found some substantial subroof damage that they were able to fix same day at a very reasonable price. All in all, worth the wait.

Mike was punctual, professional, and did nice work. We are very pleased with the electrical work he's done throughout the house. He replaced about half of the old electrical outlets and put in a new ceiling fan in a room that had no light fixture at all, which involved him going into the attic crawl space to run new wiring, etc. He also fixed a sticky door for us while he was at it! We will definitely hire him again.

Recent Review:
The roof was first replaced end of September 2020. The end result was sloppy as they used pieces of the granulated torch down cap sheet. There was black tar all over with footprints and other areas of a pinkish color and white material in certain areas. It was also discussed about the water pooling around the skylights after it rains. The problem wasn't solved on the first reroof or the second time around. (November 2020) And we were charged an extra $2,000 for plywood and 2x6's to lift that area. It just rained and it's a pool of water again. So that was just a waste of our money. Overall the cap sheet looks much better on the second reroof as they went from side to side with long rolls instead of using the scraps from other jobs. They also ran into our garage with their debris truck along with scraping the side of the exterior garage wall with the plywood. And dIdn't clean up well either. It was a very unpleasant experience and we would not recommend using this company.
