He told me the project would take 2-3 days and Christian and his team were done in 2 days. They did an incredible job and cleaned up beautifully when they were finished. I had a leaking basement and a home that a very difficult rock in the depths of the earth. In general, expect to mulch your leaves about once or twice every fall. You want there to be a decent amount of leaves on the ground, but not too much where it’s difficult for the mower to cut through.

Carpetgrass is a low-maintenance grass requiring little fertilization that thrives in subprime growing conditions. However, regular mowing is necessary to avoid the growth of unsightly seed stalks, and you may have to water it frequently to prevent drying out the soil. That includes watering the grass over dry winters to help keep it healthy, and it may start dying out in particularly cold climates where it grows poorly. Carpetgrass can also be vulnerable to some types of turf fungus, so it’s important not to overthatch. 

Longer lengths are always better for striping, so mowing your grass to between 2½ to 4 inches tall. More length allows for optimal bendiness, plus it helps your lawn stay healthier, too. Remember, never mow more than ⅓ of the grass height at once to keep your lawn looking green and healthy.

You can fertilize right after mowing as long as you've collected the clippings. If you leave grass clipping, they can form a mat that prevents the fertilizer from reaching the soil. Plus, grass clippings are rich in nitrogen, so if you leave them and then apply fertilizer, you can end up with too much nitrogen in the soil.
