When it came to the work, Josh and his crew were pleasant, professional, and diligent. Extreme care and attention to detail were taken during every step of the installation process and the job was completed faster than anticipated. A number of pieces were needed to fit the curved shape of our backyard and I was amazed as I watched the seams disappear completely. We also opted for the Turf Edge and are very happy we did. After getting a few estimates from different vendors, we contracted with CJ at Socal. I liked him when I met him. He was very professional and thorough as was his crew during the entire process. They worked with the tight schedule we put on them and they completed on time. Any concerns we had were immediately addressed and taken care of, which is something that was much appreciated. We really like the job they did and our new backyard looks amazing.

What a fantastic experience all around! Before calling CJ for an estimate, I did my homework on the company and brushed up on what I needed to know about synthetic putting greens. I learned about all the possible pitfalls from poor installation to issues with melting; however, CJ’s website and the testimonials from past clients reflected a company that prides itself on quality and professionalism combined with responsible installation. When CJ arrived for an estimate, I was immediately impressed with his vast knowledge of the complexities of synthetic lawns…especially putting greens. He focused on details such as the lay of the grass for both chipping and putting, the optimum cup placement to maximize the space we had, and creating the best topography for the desired break on each individual hole. He also provided many hardscape options for the patio and small planter we wanted to install. He noted the windows closest to the greens and was concerned about possible melting due to window reflection. Fortunately, he has experience in working with several solutions, and the best solution was also the easiest and least expensive—installing full screens on all the windows in question (Torpin Screen Company). Expecting a hefty estimate based on this level of expertise and attention to detail, we were surprised with his fair and competitive quote. We continued to be impressed as the work began. CJ’s employees were professional, respectful, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. We were especially impressed with how clean and organized they left the area at the end of each work day. They obviously took pride in their work and often went above and beyond what they were expected to do. Several times, CJ himself came to check in on the project to ensure that our needs were being met. Most impressively, the work was completed in fewer days than estimated. The end product? Absolutely stunning! I feel like I’m at a vacation resort every time I step into my back yard. The pavers are lovely, the garden wall is perfect, and the putting green runs the entire length of our yard (happy hubby!). We are so pleased with the process and the final product that we’re hoping to have him do the front yard next summer.

Their quote was very fair and they were helpful in educating us on all of the options and price points for our backyard project. When my wife and I decided to take up the project of replacing our backyard pavers with turf, I got about 8 contractors to come and give a bid to me. I evaluated them on many criteria including: Knowledge of the material, business, installation process, quality of turf, licensing or certified with ASGI, proper insurance cover, customer service, reasonable pricing, good reviews and references, tailoring the project to meet my expectations etc. I rated them all and selected top three for further discussion. CJ from Socal understood my concerns about balancing longevity and softness of turf and proposed a Coronado 100 oz turf with 15 years warranty and also offered ideas for boundary and shape. I was impressed with the service and knowledge and of course the turf quality. As far as the installation process, the crew led by Josh were very professional, arrived every morning exact 7 45 AM, started the work, kept me in constant loop of the ongoing activities and cleaned up everyday after work. The 450 sq ft area project was completed in 3 days straight. The brick boundary and the seams are flawless as one can see in attached pictures. All the guests who have visited us since them were awed by the turf. I would highly recommend SoCal team for your turf projects.

My husband & I looked into 13 companies for a putting green, interviewed 7 of them, and chose SoCal for their professionalism, detailed explanation of their work, love of the game of golf, competitive price, and finance option. They were flexible with working around our schedule. CJ & Josh gave wonderful suggestions for the design of the greens, putting as much interest in our yard as if it was their own. The actual project took only one week; all the guys on the team paid great attention to detail and focused on perfection. Overall the communication and support were excellent. The putting green is beautiful. It even has curves in the greens to make the game more exciting. Everyone says it looks like real grass. SoCal installed the turf in our backyard. We are thrilled with the end result. It was a pleasure working with them from start to finish. CJ was quick to schedule the initial meeting. He explained their process, answered all our questions and gave a fair price. Josh was great coordinating with the other work going on in our yard and generally making sure the project was on track. He was always keeping me up to date. The install crew was very professional, they have a high attention to detail and always cleaned up the work site at the end of the day. What a great team of professionals! CJ, Josh and their guys did a meticulous job on our new turf. We are so happy looking at our gorgeous forever green grass that we put in to have our daughter's wedding ceremony on. They paid exceptional detail installing walkway stones down the center of the lawn where the ceremony will take place. SoCal synthetic lawn's came highly recommended to us from family and friends. Crew was punctual, professional, and polite.  CJ was also very professional and explained the process, material, and gave referrals.  A few of my neighbors have used him as well.  Work was done in 3 days and crew cleaned up after each day.

CJ and his crew were quite impressive from the start. The initial meeting answered all of our questions and provided all of the information that we needed to make our decision. Once the project began, CJ's crew was punctual, polite, flexible and professional. Each day they cleaned up the yard as much as possible. They kept to the original schedule even working an extra day on the weekend to get the job completed on schedule. The result was an amazing transformation of a hot, dry gravel yard into a beautifully green professionally installed putting green. And not just any green! SoCal took into consideration that we wanted some variety and challenge among the 7 holes. We couldn't be happier with the result!

Everything from the first meeting, estimate, start of project through completion was excellent. CJ and his crew were all very professional, knowledgeable, responsive and finished the job quickly and efficiently. I got a number of estimates, and the price was comparable to others- financing options were much better, though, which was one of the reasons I chose SoCal. I also appreciated all the information CJ provided and found that his product and installation matched or exceeded other companies that I was considering. When Josh came to start the demo and do the installation he was always punctual and called me to follow up. He also was willing to give advice about installation that was very helpful, and I love the results! Highly recommend SoCal for synthetic lawn installation, and would definitely use them again!

Great! CJ is very professional. He came out and gave us a bid and told us what to expect. On installation day, the crew arrived on time and were all very polite and professional. The install was exactly as CJ described-no surprises! I was against putting in the artificial turf at first, but now that it's in, I really like it. It feels really nice on bare feet. I chose a grass with some brown in it to make it look more natural. Our neighbors and friends have all commented on how nice it looks. I will highly recommend this company to everyone.

This is the second time we have used CJ and his crew. He did a great job from start to finish. The price was fair, the quality of work was great and the job was finished quickly.

We first met CJ at the Home Show this past spring and had him come out and give us an estimate. After having several companies (large and small) come out we decided on CJ based not only on his estimate but also on his professionalism and his thoroughness in explaining exactly how his company operates. We couldn't be happier with our decision! His prices are extremely fair and his crew is fantastic. We've never had contractors be as detail-oriented and efficient as these guys. They arrived each day on time (wow!) and ready to work. They each introduced themselves to us and they even asked if it was okay to play a radio while they worked telling us it would not be loud... incredible. They treated our property like it was their own and when they left each day everything was cleaned up. There was quite a bit of dirt to remove with a bobcat and load into a dump truck so tarps were spread out on our driveway to make sure our driveway and walkway remained clean. We were amazed at the time that was spent making certain the lawn and the pathway were perfect.
We are so happy with the results we're having CJ and his crew come back in a couple of weeks and continue the turf and pathway into the side yard.
