"I was surprised, it was quick and it was easy from the time they tore up the old concrete prepared and. Disposed of the old driveway, poured the new concrete. It only took 2 days, but they were exceptional. I can only give praises to the professionalism and how well they did their job. They treated my driveway like they were putting one in a in a 5 million dollar home and all the workers were courteous. I have already recommended them to a few people for some jobs they're looking to have done.."

"We needed pavers installed on our driveway and Pedro and his crew were fantastic. They are fast, flexible, and competitively priced. We even got our pavers sealed after the installation by Pedro, and he went above and beyond when cleaning and applying the sealer. Its rare to find such genuine folks and I'd hire them in a heartbeat again."

"Salesman Sui was the initial contact with the company and he delivered a good working plan and was very reasonable in cost. Eli was the project manager and he made some design changes that improved the whole project. The whole work crew started work at 7:30 each day and worked consistently to get the job done in a timely fashion. Iâ m very pleased with the quality of work and would recommend them to everyone desiring a quality result to a paver project!"

"I hired Ground Logic to build a new backyard patio and deck, connecting them to our existing patio and walkways. They did an outstanding job from start to finish. The entire process was smooth and well organized. Sean was professional, responsive, and offered thoughtful suggestions that improved my design. The construction team—Ozwaldo, Frank, and the rest of the crew—was efficient, courteous, and meticulous in their work. They kept the job site clean throughout the project and paid close attention to details. The finished backyard exceeded my expectations. It was once an underused space and now has become a neat outdoor living area that our family can enjoy."

"I'm delighted with my new backyard grass. The turf looks super natural, like a golf course, and they were willing to do the work on a weekend so as not to disturb my at home business. Gomer was a delight to work with."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Driveway aprons typically range between four and seven inches thick, though your town's building codes will likely have specific requirements. Additionally, you may need to add a layer of permeable aggregate in the excavation below your paved apron to ensure proper stormwater drainage.

Even with regular maintenance, most driveways don’t last much longer than 30 years. Alligator cracking is a clear warning sign that your driveway’s foundation is failing, and cracks that are deep and wide can let water in, causing more damage. Standing water is another red flag. If your driveway doesn’t drain properly, it’s going to degrade slowly. Finally, if you’re seeing dips or uneven patches, that’s a sign the base layer or soil is shifting. If these issues pop up, it’s time to replace your driveway.

Asphalt and tarmac are not the same thing. Traditional tarmac, short for tarmacadam, uses tar as a binder to hold crushed stone together. Asphalt uses bitumen—a byproduct of crude oil—to bind aggregate. Though tarmac was once a go-to for roads, asphalt has become the modern standard. And these days, most surfaces referred to as “tarmac” are actually asphalt. So, while the names may overlap, the key distinction lies in the binder—tar for tarmac and bitumen for asphalt.

Asphalt is made of aggregate materials (sand, rocks, and gravel) and bitumen, a viscous, petroleum-based, waterproof substance. These materials are mixed together at extremely high temperatures to form asphalt.

Wet cutting is usually the preferred method. It controls dust, which helps protect your lungs and makes for a cleaner working environment. Plus, the water cools the blade, preventing overheating and prolonging its life while providing smoother, more precise cuts. The downside is the mess—water and asphalt sludge can be messy to clean. Dry cutting, though convenient if water isn’t available, creates a lot of dust, which can be harmful. This also increases the risk of blade damage due to overheating. So, if you have the option, wet cutting is the better method for most asphalt jobs.
