California SmartscapeMy husband and I are thrilled with our new backyard! From the beginning Andrew understood our needs and worked on a design that would give us more usable space for our family gatherings. Andrew is jus wonderful to work with! He is attentive to your needs and concerns and has an incredible vision for hardscape design and landscape. Once the design was done, they had to demolish existing cement and level our whole backyard to have more usable space. They installed pavers, lighting, gas lines for our fire pit and grill and landscape. It all came together even better than we ever imagined! The whole team was led by our project manager, Alvaro, who is a pleasure to work with. Every worker that was brought in was professional, punctual, and tidied up before they left for the day. Alvaro was always responsive and accommodating with the changes that we thought needed to be done along the way and still the project was completed on time and within the budget. We wish we could give more than 5 stars and cannot recommend this company enough! Hiring California Smartscape was the best decision we could have made and one we will enjoy for many years to come!!- David B.

River Rock OutscapeI am very satisfied with the work River Rock Outscape performed. Their price was reasonable (not the lowest nor the highest bid I received) and they were helpful and professional throughout the entire job. They worked with me to accommodate new or modified requests as the project progressed, and everything came out looking fantastic. They also took the time to clean up each day before heading out, sweeping any dust or gravel, so that the impact to my neighbors and neighborhood was minimal. San Diego XscapeMiguel does amazing work. Had them put in a fence, retaining wall and pavers. They worked on time and efficiently. We had a hill on the side of our house that ran into the side of the garage making that side of the house useless. Now we have a beautiful side entrance and fence. Jose is definitely a go getter and you can sense that from the start. The quality of the work is great so far (about 30 days since completion. We would use him again. System PaversI found system pavers through my Dad who had his driveway redone with paver stones and looked great. Due to their previous workmanship, I had them give a quote for my home. I had systems pavers do artificial turf in my front yard and paver stones in the back yard. They did a wonderful job. I got a fair price for excellent workmanship and quality. Alex Paez and his team onsite were able to bring my vision of my how I wanted my outdoor landscaping to light. they were responsive to my input and proactive in troubleshooting problems that always occur during these type of big renovations. Cale Abramson and his team outperformed themself. First, I would like to say that I had no connections with friends who work in the turf industry. I received 5 quotes and drilled each company with learning opportunities and questions. Cale was patient and knowledgeable about all of them. Cale never attempted to sale to me but also told it straight even if it wasn't financially what a person would want to hear. Cale informed me of the whole process and even sold me a less premium turf for the benefit of the purpose it was going be used for. The morning of, Cale came out and walked the property with me and his crew so we were all included on my desires... and then his team went to work and worked hard. The project was only roughly a 900 square foot area but his team worked 2 days prepping the lot and perfecting the project. His team removed and disposed the current dirt, terminated existing irrigation, and then graded and compacted the lot with their own base. I have multiple kids and was planing to build a playground on the turf so Home Turf was able to accommodate my desire for fall pads to also be placed in a certain area. Home Turf also created a clean edge using pressure treated wood (my choice) to the turf which help separated the turf from the other parts of my yard. Home Turf's estimate was the most detailed and professional with itemization of products, multiple financing options, background information on the company and previous jobs performed, and one of the best warranty in the business. I will recommend Cale and his team at Home Turf to everyone who is interest in turf. I am confident that they will take care of you, just like they did for me.

They were delayed to start due to some equipment breaking down and they were occasionally slow to respond to email, but not too bad. I reached out to Jarad a few weeks ago to move the entrance of a bathroom from a bedroom to the hallway and frankly it couldn't of gone any better. Not only does the finished product look incredible, but really the entire process of working with them to get to this point couldn't of been easier. Jarad is super easy to communicate with, flexible on timing, and was willing to take the time to answer a bunch of questions I had. I mean bottom line the work they did speaks for itself but I didn't expect that level of customer service. I knew I was in really good hands when Jarad asked if we were planning on installing shelving where we once had the door. He was framing the wall and blocked exactly where we plan to anchor the shelves. He even texted me the elevations with a photo before we put the drywall up. For a room that's going to be a nursery... it went a long ways. Thanks again!

In fact we actually negotiated a slightly lower price that his initial quote, but because his crew went the extra mile and did things that were not on the quote we paid him the original quoted price. They scheduled a time to come by to give us an estimate. About an hour before the appointment they called and left a voice mail to confirm the appointment. They said "call back within 10-15 minutes to confirm, or we will have to reschedule". I called back within 8 minutes, but there was no answer. So I left a message that 2 pm is still on and I expect them to show up. I then immediately called Michael on his phone, who had originally called me and set the appointment. I told him what had happened and wanted to make sure Oscar was still going to show up at 2. He said ok and that he will check with Oscar. Then he calls me back 5 minutes later to say it is too late. Oscar cant come at the originally scheduled time since he is doing another job. It is ridiculous to call people and give them a 10 minute warning to confirm only an hour before the appointment, and to cancel when you made made an attempt to confirm and did in fact confirm. Yet get told they are not gonna make the scheduled time. Would not want to work with these guys. Not reliable; not dependable. They can't trust their customers to be on time; how can we trust them to be on time.

At first my husband and I were REALLY excited because we really liked his ideas. He told us it would be 3-4 days and he would get us a visual mock up of his vision with a breakdown of each individual cost. After 5 days, I texted him and he said he broke his phone and needed a few more days. 5 days later I texted him and he said that he had been swamped and would have it ready by Friday (it was currently Tuesday). On Saturday I texted him about an update and he just flat out never responded after that. We are REALLY disappointed because we were going to go with him for our project. He seemed really knowledgable and never shied away from a question I had while we had our meet up. Now we have to start over again and I'm feeling disappointed and discouraged.
