"Jack was great to work with. We had to have all new drywall installed in my kitchen, which the drywall and texture need to match up to the existing drywall in the family room. We needed several holes patched after electrical work was done. When Jack and his team was completed you could not even tell there were patches. He was able to match the textures very well. Jack was very professional and had great communication. It was a great pleasure to work with him and will hire again for some future work."

"Wow, good job, well done! I have a big drywall work due to water damage; yet, I found Mr. Gabe. Yes, he along with his wife did the drywall work very quickly and perfectly, exceeded my expectations! Later, he was also very proficient in installing all baseboards and repairing door trims, the results were very good! Now my house has a new look; I will use him again definitely."

"The quality of drywall and texturing work was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I called on a Friday afternoon and the work was performed the following Monday, just three days later, even though it was on a holiday (Memorial Day)! 1st Choice Drywall, Inc. will be my first choice for any future drywall needs. "Yes. Billy said everyone was great on install date. Omar was helpful and communicated effectively. Team worked well together and were efficient. Team was respectful of our property and cleaned up after work done. All of the team members being available was excellent to get install in one day. We hopefully will enjoy the benefits of the insulation and all went as anticipated with install. Very glad we had it done. Leo was excellent with pre install quote and arranging for install. We got a few quotes . We paid highest quote to have the work done quickly which met our needs. Thank you for the excellent service"

"Sergio made two drywall repairs for me. First, the living room ceiling where a water leak had damaged the drywall in four places. Second, a cutout in the bedroom wall adjacent to the garage where I had installed an air conditioner temporarily. Sergio explained what he was doing and was careful to clean up when the jobs were complete. The drywall had different textures in the two places, and he was able to match the textures exactly! Even now, before painting, it is impossible to see where the repairs were made. His quote was reasonable, and he stood by this quote when the job was finished. Sergio has been doing drywall for over 40 years, but he still takes pride in his work and tries to do the best possible job."

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, a fan can help drywall mud dry faster by improving air circulation and reducing humidity in the room. Drywall mud dries through evaporation, so increasing airflow speeds up this process. However, you should position the fan to blow across the room rather than directly on the wet mud. This helps prevent drying too quickly, which can cause cracking. You should also use a dehumidifier if high humidity is an issue.

Metal corners, often referred to as corner beads for square corners, are used on drywall installations to provide structural reinforcement to vulnerable outside corners. Their usage safeguards against chipping, denting, or other forms of damage, enhancing the overall durability of the wall. Metal corners also offer a precise and straight edge that facilitates sharp and clean lines, crucial for achieving a polished and professional finish.

In most cases, no, you won’t need a permit to replace drywall. If you’re changing the floorplan of your home by adding or removing walls during the drywall project, then you might need a permit, but replacement or repairs usually doesn’t require a permit. Your drywall professional should be able to confirm whether or not a permit is required for your project. If it is, it’s likely to add between $50 and $150 to your total cost. Keep in mind that you will need permits if you plan to install new electrical wiring or plumbing lines behind your new drywall.

It is more difficult to drywall a ceiling than it is to drywall a wall, but not so hard that DIYers can’t tackle it. One of the main issues with hanging drywall on your ceiling is getting it into place. Drywall isn’t light so, if you are hanging full drywall panels, you will need at least two (it’s better with more) people to hold the panel while you drill it into the ceiling as a single piece can weigh between 40 and 60 pounds and will need to be held in place for up to 10 minutes.

Professionals mount TVs using specialized tools and knowledge of different wall materials, ensuring safe support.
