My sister had an extensive battle with cancer and passed away. Her special needs daughter (my niece Raquel) was left in the care of our family. The home they were living in had extensive damage to it and wasn’t safe to occupy. Mold, rotten flooring, unusable bathrooms and more. I spent 50 years in the construction industry here in San Diego and 44 of them owning my own business. I took on the task of getting the home safe and livable for another sister to move in and be Raquel’s caregiver. Time was critical because Raquel requires full time care and supervision for her safety.
