Easy to transact, good communication and execution. Very punctual. Insulation makes a big difference. Just replaced all of the windows of the house today. Very well thermally insulated now.

I reached out to Russell from Guardian Energy for getting a home energy audit done. I was glad to discover that he provided exactly the service I was looking for (unlike a competitor whom I also spoke with). During the inspection, Russell was extremely helpful in constantly sharing his knowledge. He pointed out places where my home and appliances were doing fine, and other places where there were gaps. Based on the audit, I went back to Russell to improve my attic insulation. The work was done for a reasonable price, and I particularly appreciated Russell throwing in the air sealing around my doors and windows. Compared to other attic experts, I was not recommended to go with all the bells and whistles, since it wasn't considered necessary during the audit, and that definitely saved me a considerable amount of money. Time will tell how much energy savings my home sees. But my experience with Russell was very positive. I already recommended the energy audit to folks I know. And I recommend it, and Guardian Energy to users of Angi as well.

Great job and I am saving on my electric bill. They matched up the paint exactly and you can't see where they drilled the holes!!

They were pretty prompt. They showed up when they said they would, got the work done in the time-frame that they said. They installed a bunch is insulation and we noticed an immediate difference in the coolness of the house. It worked.

I live in the inland empire which if you are not aware of gets really really hot. So I have to run the ac all the time. I have been pricing insulation from different companies and different sites comparing prices for different types of insulation as well as blown in vs placed matting. I was also looking for reliability, quality and price. So after searching home adviser, angies list and yelp decided to go with Guardian insulation. After discussing with Jesse we understood that pricing is different from OC vs. IE and was able to get a fantastic deal priced per the square foot for R-38 blown in cellulose my home is 1300 sq feet and even now I feel the difference. Not only that they installed during one of the hottest days in the IE 105 degrees!! Jesse is able to respond via cellular, text and email and is responsive and personable Not many owner operators are as hands on and knowledgable to walk you through the explanation of the types of insulation and your home needs.

They did good. They carried themselves well. They did a good job. They came 2 times. Once to do the estimate and then to do the job. They did well. It was expensive but I don't think it was any more than any place else. It was just more than I wanted to spend.

The project went well and was completed in a timely manner by professional workers who were eager to please. All old insulation was disposed of by Guardian and the work site was clean when the workers left.

work was performed by Marc 2 days after proposal was made. Marc is a professional who took great care and pride in his work. He made sure all areas of attic were well insulated and adjusted even the old insulation to cover walls and passage ways. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Except for some scheduling problems it went very well. No complaints about the work they did.

went well. took 2 days: approx 5 hrs first day and approx 7-8 hrs second day. color matched extremely well - can not even tell where the very obvious holes were. Not to state the obvious but the drilling is LOUD.

Jesse was great at overseeing the project and Brian was courteous and efficient with the installation. Even though they lost money on the installation, they did a great job. They offer other services which I did not need but would have used the company if I did. They have a great whole house cooling system that would be terrific for the right home.

There were some initial issues discussed with Guardian that were promptly addressed and remedied. Professional, courteous and the company stands behind their work!!!

They did a great job. The guys who came out were absolutely professional. They cleaned up after they left and left it cleaner than before they started!

The Important Part:
All went well!  The installer (Mike?) is a Master at Stucco and Drywall repair. You can't tell that holes were drilled in the Stucco and Drywall to blow in the insulation.

Some Details: 
The cost to add insulation to the entire house was prohibitively high. We targeted the "High Return" areas of the house to reduce the amount of heat transferred into the house by the Sun. This cost significantly less.
The installer did a great job and was done in about 3 days...

We get our power from SCE and are able to see how much electricity we are using on a daily basis. The SCE data also includes Outside Temperature . We only have a few days of data at this point so it is not clear how much electricity we are saving (if any). I will post an update after we get enough data to show a statistical significance.

The Southern California Gas Company offers rebates for certain energy efficient home improvements including attic and wall insulation. They make a mail in application available on their website for customers to download & print. Once an application is received they mail a check to the customer within 6-8 weeks. I will update this review when the check arrives ;)

There is also a Federal Tax Credit available. Form 5695 for "Residential Energy Credits" entitles you to a Federal tax credit equal to 10% of the cost of the insulation work. Guardian just gives you a receipt & instructs you to give it to your accountant so he knows what form to file.

Installer was on time, was very friendly and informative. Completed the job in a timely manner, very clean work and no mess was left behind. Had several quotes prior to Brian showing up, he worked within my budget and completed the job several days later per my request. I will be referring Guardian Insulation to my friends and family.
