"Cut down 2 large Cypress trees to level we requested as well as trimming limbs away from house on a Catawba tree. 1 sprinkler was broken but was repaired. Owner stopped by & said he didn't know the trees were so large, even tho we sent pictures, & should have quoted more. We gave an additional $250 cash to our $600 check. All debris was removed & lawn cleaned up. Very happy with results."

"Sixto arrived early for the estimate, gave a fair price, and after reviewing I hire Forest Tree Care. A large reason for the hire was that Sixto provided proof of license, insurance and workers comp insurance when providing the estimate. His quick response and respect for me time was also a factor. On the day the work was accomplished he arrived early and brought a large crew and all the equipment needed to complete the job. They worked on multiple aspects of the job at the same time, completing it all professionally and quickly. They cleaned up completely behind them, leaving the property in great shape. After seeing what they did I added another stump to be ground to their assignment. (for extra pay) They do good work!"

Small jobs welcome

"Luis is a very cordial and competent supervisor/manager and his tree trimmer was super clearly an expert at his craft. We had a limited budget and told Luis what we needed and they did it all for the budget we had available. There is no doubt that we would reccomend them."

"I was in desperate need of having 3 Queen Palm Trees trimmed as i noticed they were growing too close to my home and was afraid they were going to create damage to my roof. I contacted R&R Banuelos Tree Service and they insisted on providing me a free estimate for the service. They showed up same day and priced the service with a more than fair price ! I was more than happy when they told me that the work can be done that same day. Very profesional and a hardworking team. Thank you R&R Tree Service. I definitely will be sharing your business with friends and family!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Getting a tree pro with the right experience can be the difference between your transplanted tree surviving or not. When hiring a local tree transplanting and removal service, follow up on references, check their portfolio, ask for a breakdown of the costs, and get proof of liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

Also, look for companies certified by the International Society of Arboriculture or registered with the Tree Care Industry Association and make sure they have an appropriate state or city license.

Yes, healthy and well-placed large trees can boost property value by an average of 3% to 15%. They improve curb appeal, offer energy savings through shade and wind protection, and are often considered by appraisers during home valuation. On the flip side, removing dead or hazardous trees can also increase value by eliminating safety risks. For the biggest return, choose low-maintenance, native species that thrive in your climate.

If you aren’t sure what you’re doing, be very careful when cutting mature tree roots (roots larger than 2 inches). Root cutting and pruning can affect both a tree’s stability and its ability to nourish itself. Issues during root cutting can result in damage or injury.

It’s recommended you call in a pro to help, unless it’s a very small tree and you aren’t worried about the prospect of losing the tree.

On grafted trees, tree suckers will grow from the root stock, not the branches grafted onto it. Therefore, the leaves and characteristics of the suckers aren’t the same as the tree because they are different varieties. Root stock has more hardiness, strength, or drought tolerance than its grafted limbs, so if the suckers are from fruit or flowers, it might be different than the main part of your tree.

Depending on the severity of the damage, a tree might continue healing for years after a split or a break. Saplings can usually bounce back in the spring in one or two seasons, but larger trees might take a few years to regain their former strength. If your tree is showing strong growth and is not dropping limbs, you can consider it healed after the first two seasons.
