"They are very professional and their work is stunning. They bring your vision to life. Jose and his crew remodeled our whole downstairs our 3 bathrooms and kitchen. You need to see the transformation on his IG page! Unrecognizable! Even with the delays in material during COVID they stayed on top of it. "Richard and his 3-D remodeling construction team were fantastic, always on time each morning and great work and very tidy and conscientious and left our home looking great each day. Richard was great with communication and did a great job bringing our vision of our kitchen remodel to perfection. They also did flooring and painting and wonderful tile work on our fireplace. My wife and I couldnâ t be happier with the work, the fair pricing and attention to detail. We have already recommended them to family and friends and we will hire them again when we remodel our bathrooms. Highly recommend Richard and 3-D remodeling."

"Dealing with contractors is never easy, and Ben is no pushover, but with very few exceptions, Ben and his crew do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it, and they do it very well. What else can you really ask for from contractors. He's organized and a person of integrity. I liked that he sent a Google chart with supplies to purchase that we could work together that helped me figure out what kind of parts and tiles to purchase. Great experience and our bathrooms are amazing."

"I wanted to replace carpet with wood-look vinyl in living room, dining room, library and office in my house, but the floors were very uneven. One company said they would only recommend replacing with new carpet and a second company gave me a ridiculously high estimate for the work. Jacobs Construction quoted a fair price, which went up a bit when they pulled up the carpet and saw just how bad the floors were. The final cost was far below the other quote. The work was done in just two days, and the floors are beautiful!"

"I had a 1970’s kitchen and home layout. LGC’s work was efficient and high quality. The team worked diligently and within budget to complete my work. My kitchen and home look exactly as I had imagined. As a single mom, I needed someone I could trust, and LGC was what I needed. I would use them for any contractor work in the future."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Most towns and cities have regulations regarding sign dimensions for businesses. If you're opening a new business, contact the town or city's local zoning board to see the specifications you need to follow when getting your sign created. There may also be rules regarding how high your sign can sit. Be sure to learn about specifications before having your sign made. Sign companies generally won't offer refunds once custom signs have been fabricated.

Buying a house is easier than building one from scratch. Buying an existing home is almost always faster, even if you need to make renovations once you move in. When you hire the right team to build a home, they will simplify the design and build phases so that there is little guesswork throughout the process, but building new construction will almost always take longer than buying an existing home.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

Above all, the downside to building a new house is a longer timeline. You need several months to finish the build, depending on the supply chain and labor availability in the meantime. Building a home compared to buying one is also more expensive, both in the building process and when it comes to mortgage rates and property taxes.

Professionals such as architects, general contractors, electricians, HVAC specialists, and interior designers are crucial to effectively planning and executing significant renovations.
