"Do not hesitate to call Good Guys Refrigeration. Max is an experienced, efficient, funny, and thoughtful fridge whisperer! We had a wonderful experience with him. On a Saturday morning, Max showed up <1 hour after a frantic call about a newly-purchased GE refrigerator that would not cool. Within minutes, he was able to diagnose the issue with the refrigerator (a broken control board) and refer us to a store to purchase a new part quickly and easily. Two days later, when we had gotten the part, he installed it in less than five minutes. And for all that, he charged an incredibly reasonable price. But more importantly than the encyclopedic refrigerator knowledge, punctuality and professionalism, and affordable prices, Max brings a great deal of laughter, honesty, and compassion wherever he goes. I promise you: this will be the most fun refrigerator repair experience you could ever have."

"We felt that our insurance company was giving us the run around. From the moment the insurance company's adjuster knew that Goodroad & Gat is involved, the game changed! Suddenly he become more friendly and accommodating. Suddenly we could move out to a hotel instead of living with the mass, and the evaluation of our claim changed dramatically. We don't know how we could repair our home with out these guys. The got us enough money to do the job right! We highly recommend Goodroad & Gat and their great staff.

"The repairman arrived late due to an accident on the freeway.  The office did call me to let me know.  I showed him the area that needed to be reparied.  He asked me if I had some of the supplies I thought he would have brought for drywall repair such as tape and texturing.  He said the company should have told me to provide this, and I indicated no one told me anything.  Eventually, he ran out to Home Depot which took over an hour, and came back with the proper supplies.  He finished the job in the time allotted.  It is an adequate job.  It was in my laundry room behind the appliances so I wasn't so concerned about how it looks.  If I had been concerned about that, the job wouldn't have been satisfactory.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"I contacted Yari over the phone. Even though he was busy, he was very good about returning my call and scheduling an appt. He visited the property and keep me informed about the repairs since I don't live locally. Unfortunately, I was not able to see the work done. However, the tenant seemed happy and satisfied. Yari was efficient, friendly, and professional."

Appliance Repair FAQs, answered by experts

Hearing or feeling vibrations in your house can be unsettling, but there are a few possible causes for a vibrating noise in your wall or floor. Light bulbs and fixtures, circuit breakers, loose pipes, or faulty wiring could all cause vibrations. If you’re not sure what’s causing the vibrations, you can call a contractor to assess your home and narrow down the cause.

The easiest way to dispose of your stove is likely to call a junk removal service, which can carry it away for a fee. If you have a truck of your own (and a strong enough group of companions), you may be able to deliver it to your local appliance recycling center yourself.

The lifespan of an oven depends on its type, usage, and maintenance. On average, an electric oven lasts around 13 years, while a gas oven can last slightly longer, around 15 years. With proper care and maintenance, some ovens can reach a lifespan of 15 to 20 years.

Several factors influence longevity. An oven's lifespan is primarily determined by its build quality, total cooking hours, and the stress from temperature fluctuations. This is why a more expensive, higher-quality oven may be a worthwhile investment. Ovens are generally durable appliances because they have fewer moving parts compared to others like washing machines or dishwashers, which means less wear and tear over time.

To maximize your oven's life, it is essential to clean and maintain it properly. A deep cleaning every three months can prevent buildup and ensure it continues to work correctly.

DIY is possible for plug-and-play models. Professional services ensure proper connections for built-in appliances.

Costs range from $75 to $200, depending on the appliance type and complexity.
