Avi and David were wonderful; very thorough in explaining the process, answering all of our questions, and settling on a price that was reasonable and within our budget. During the building process, David was very responsive, available, and receptive to changes and last minute decisions made along the way. The project took longer than anticipated and there were some unexpected setbacks, but David and Avi worked quickly to fix issues and keep the project moving forward. At the end of the project they were very responsible about making sure we were satisfied with every last detail before completing the project. When we were in the market for a general contractor to build our two-bedroom/two-bath ADU in San Marino, we interviewed several general contractors. Mike Maman of MF Construction was one of them. Mike showed us several of his projects as well as his own custom home. We were extremely impressed with the end results. After reviewing several competitive bids, we selected Mike because of his 40+ years of experience in building high-quality homes. During the construction of our ADU, Mike was just a text or phone call away. He kept us informed of upcoming events and visited our job site almost daily, sometimes more than once a day. He was present at all 12 of the City inspections. Every step along the way, we noted the high quality of materials Mike uses from the Ganahl lumber to the thick insulation and roofing paper to the copper pipes and shower hot mop, and mold-resistant drywall. Kevin Truong of Ret Construction has been so helpful during our home renovation. He treats our remodeling ideas as if we were part of his family. He gives us different options based on our needs and suggests innovative ways to save money in the long run. What really delights us is the fact that he has us accompany him to the different businesses in order to select materials for our 2 bathroom remodels. He's able to point out prior shoddy handyman / contractor work and explain why construction shortcuts cost more money down the road. Kevin gives excellent suggestions for fixtures that look really nice but doesn't go over the top with really expensive options. "With our 350ft new room addition, Olympia Construction did try to sit down with us to work with our budget, give us free rein on what fixtures we would like to put in, and give us input and advice on design, I just wish Ryanâ  s shared more of his expertise in the areas where we unknowledgeable like light fixtures choices before installing. There were some disagreements and unclear objectives which should addressed in the contract. Make sure all the measurements are on point and everything you want is in the contract, including if you want them there at the work site at least every working week day. Lock in your completion date. His foreman was great. Overall it was a nice experience."
