"My wood front door was 24 years old and badly weathered so I decided to refinish it myself, including all new hardware. After completely refinishing the door and frame including trim, I discovered the hinges were a rare hole pattern. I searched far and wide before finding them on the internet. Unfortunately the hole patterns were still off just a bit and I ended up getting the screws in crooked and generally botching the job of rehanging the door. It wouldn?t close because of binding at the hinges and inside door frame. I really thought this was going to cost me a whole new door (including frame) but I decided to let Manuel look at it. Manuel thought the door could be saved and that?s just the way things turned out. His efforts saved me many hundreds of dollars on a new door and installation. One thing I really appreciated was that Manuel said that if the effort to rehang the door was unsuccessful he would apply the full fee towards a new door and frame installation -more than reasonable. I did however lower my rating in the ?Price? category to a B because I felt the actual time spent (a couple of hours) did not warrant the original quote even though I understand it isn?t always easy to estimate a job and it?s inevitable that some will be bid high and others low. Manuel was on time for the initial estimate and for the actual work later. He was pleasant to work with and he worked quickly and professionally. I would not hesitate to use him again.

"Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."
