"Jose and his crew did an excellent job and always conducted themselves like gentlemen. Jose was very patient and helpful in making the color choices for the paint and stain. I have container plants around the house. They took pictures of how they were arranged. They moved them away from the house before starting and put them back where they originally were when they were finished. They tidied up at the end of each day. They thoroughly cleaned up when the job was completed, leaving nothing behind. Jose and his crew were a pleasure to work with. We are very happy with their work."

"The wood had been re-stained less than a year ago by a painter who did not properly treat the wood and the siding had suffered some water damage.  The folks from J&B did a very good job with what they had to work with, and when we expressed some displeasure at how the wood looked, they did additional work, sanding and prepping and re-stainng in an effort to make us happy.  I'd use them again.

"It went extremely well. Mr. White gave me a great price. He came by the next day after agreeing on price and start date and power washed the entire house. Looked for repairs that may be needed as well. Told me his crew would be here the following morning at 7:00am they were here about 6:45 am. They started working quickly and efficiently at sanding, filling stucco, checking for things that needed attention. Then began the actual painting around 11:00am. They prepped by covering my neighbors vehicles a fence as well to ensure that there wasn't any paint flying away anywhere. Paid very close attention to detail. They finished late afternoon and cleaned up behind themselves. Left me extra paint as well. There is a four year warranty on the job too! Mr. White helped me with the decision of exactly what paints I wanted and they blend very well. I chose a nice gray with black trim and went big and had my doors painted a fire engine red! Saw a few things I wanted touched up when he was by on Friday for payment and he sent someone out that very day to take care of. The house was painted on a Wednesday. I would have figured that a contractor would have been waiting at my door on Wednesday afternoon for payment. He gave me plenty of time to walk around look at and make comment. Was an extremely easy experience. The entire crew was courteous and worked very hard all day!"

"They painted our entire exterior including fence and they painted the shed for free with the extra paint. They completed the job in a timely manner. The quality of the painting was excellent. They did lose half a star because there were a couple places where they could have done a better job on the prep work (sanding and repair). I would definitely recommend them to a friend and I have. Work was completed a couple years ago and the work is holding up well."

"John Holden and his son completed a large home painting project for us that including the home dwelling, extensive wood deck work, and other misc repairs for the painting job for us and we were very happy with the outcome. There were heavy downpours of rain in CA in early 2023 for almost 6 months! That caused some paint not to dry as expected, among other things. Although Their painting job held up really well! Anyway, their painting crew came back numerous times to fix any paint issues we raised, which happens on all jobs, naturally. Thatâ s hard to do for a painting crew and drives down profit for a company when they return to the job site. Regardless, their leadership and crew happily accommodated our requests and were focused on making sure we were satisfied. John Holden Inc was also very cost effective. I was amazed at the price they quoted and they stood by that price at the end of the job! Very fair. Their team also repaired a wrought iron gate, replaced exterior filter covers, and worked with us on the final paint selection. I couldnâ t recommend them more highly."

"I think the family was very nice and their crew was also nice. They came out everyday to check on the progress and most importantly they finished on time. They came a day early and finished a day early, even with one rain delay day. My house needed A LOT of prep work which I really appreciate the quality of work the crew did. They sold the project as if the family comes out and does the work, but they are actually the General Contractor of the project with a hired crew. some things to consider before hiring anyone: I think I would have liked a little more time to choose the paint color. I felt a little rushed and would have liked to have gone a little more traditional with bolder color choices, but at the end of the day it was my choice to proceed and it did turn out really nice. They said they would handle cleaning up all the plants and trees around the perimeter of the house so i wouldn't haven't hire a gardener. Had I known that all the planting around the perimeter would be destroyed, I may have rethought my timing and cleaned it out in advance. It took me three weekends to cutback the trees, remove the damaged succulents, and repair the sprinklers. I should have also taken everything into my garage to avoid overspray on furniture and breakage of solar lamps, plants, and decorative pieces that had to be removed or replaced. I did send them all my receipts and did all the work myself, and they said they will send me a check. I think that is fair. I didn't ask for the 5% discount from Home Repair as I knew the house needed a lot of work, and the 5% is more than the repairs. Most of the damage was due to the extensive amount of repairs they had to do, so I think it was inevitable. Overall I love my house and I got my orange door, which makes all the difference in the character.The neighbors love it, too."
