He replaced all my interior doors, ceiling fans, outside fence, toilets, painted the interior/exterior of the house, installed a barn door in my family room which added an extra bedroom, and did a bunch of other stuff around my house. His hourly rate is reasonable for what I got. He’s very knowable, gives great suggestions, dependable, and does it right the first time. He’s saved me thousands of dollars, I paid a Handyman’s price for the same or better work that a high priced contractor would of done."

"Excellent. My house is 70 years old & really needed to be updated. This was a scary process for me. I’ve never been able to afford to hire anyone to do any kind of remodeling & was scared of stories from family & friends who have been ripped off having any work done on their houses. I was really impressed with the ideas Dereck had for my bathrooms & especially for my kitchen which made no sense. He took me shopping to pick out materials & with his knowledge & expertise guided me with my choices for tile, flooring, fixtures, etc. I love all of the men who did the work. They know what they are doing & were really meticulous making sure that everything was done to perfection & they cleaned up after themselves everyday. This has been a very long process because of course they ran into problems with some of the plumbing & then had to repipe the house because there was no water pressure. The bathrooms & kitchen have all been totally gutted & redesigned. I love the way it’s all turned out & so glad I went through all this construction including the frustration at times LOL.It was totally worth it."

It’s usually better to repair damaged interior doors and replace damaged exterior doors, but it depends on the type and extent of the damage. Damage to interior doors won’t threaten your home’s security, so if a repair or partial replacement of only the door (not replacing the door frame) is possible, that route should save you some money.
