"The estimate and price to do the job went well. They had three men to install the fence over two and a half days. They knew what they were doing , however, I had to inspect each board and made them replace 12 panels due to cracks or knots that were falling apart. The wood they used had knots, multiple colors including a pale wood color and clumps of sawdust on some pieces. I would recommend that the owner have actual pieces of wood to show you the different qualities available. Had I been given a choice by seeing actual samples, I would have chosen a higher quality of wood. I now have to pay another vendor to clean up the sawdust and add a coat of sealant to protect the wood long term from rain and watering and to help the fence look a bit more finished than just raw wood."

"Mello Welding is terrific. I received a call back and a quick estimate. The work to cut out a rusty section of railing and weld a new section in place was professionally completed on time. I really appreciated how quickly they responded. Very satisfied."

"John was extremely helpful during a very very difficult time. He answered questions honestly and validated my concerns. He did come out promptly after the July 2015 rain storm when hiring a roofer seemed impossible. He provided a well written estimate and provided his knowledge regarding my options. I had possession of the home for 13 months and during that time in the Antelope Valley I can HONESTLY say that Western Pacific turned out to provide the best service. As a female, I highly recommend them.

"Awesome! I hired Rick even though he was slightly a little more ($100) than my other quotes because I was initially impressed with his professionalism. What I didn't know then is that he has an equally professional "Back-End" staff in the form of his wife.
In the 11 years that I have worked on my house and hired many contractors, I have never had the attention or the responsiveness that I have had from this team, and to me that means more than anything. They communicate, are prompt in replies and tech savvy. In my opinion I do not see how contractors can run a business in any other way, but they do.
If you are a woman and have ever had the misfortune of dealing with contractors that do not know what an invoice is, do not know how to use their cell phone, do not show up on the job, then Azteca is for you. I especially liked when I asked for some more finishing work to be done on the deck, Rick didn't hesitate and said he'd be back to do the work. No questions, no complaints. This is the very first time that this has happened with me and  ANY contractor.
His guys did amazing work, were here every day, came back promptly to do the finishing and did not leave a mess. I have finally found my dream contractor. When I get some more cash, I will hire Rick (Azteca) to redo my bathroom, my kitchen and my garage. Etc., etc., etc,.

Loved them!"

Welding questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can cut plexiglass by hand using a sharp knife or blade (utility knife, box cutter, glass cutter, etc.).

Welding is the process of using extreme heat—and, sometimes, pressure—to attach two pieces of metal. In contrast, metal fabrication is a more involved process that can include welding, sheet metal work, bending, and other forms of metal manipulation. Metal fabrication is a large-scale project that may or may not involve welding, while welding is more often a step in larger fabrication projects.

The average cost for a welding project is about $300, with typical costs ranging from $125 to $490. However, prices can be as low as $125 for very small jobs or exceed $1,200 for large or complex projects. Welders typically charge an hourly rate between $65 and $150, depending on their experience, and many charge a minimum fee to cover overhead and travel expenses. The total cost is influenced by several factors, including labor, the cost of materials like metal rods and shielding gas, the type of metal being welded, the project's size and complexity, and your geographic location. For a precise quote, it's best to ask a local welder for an estimate based on your specific project.

This all depends on the tools you have on hand and whether you’re trying to cut a straight line or shapes.

The best tool to use for straight lines is either a circular saw or table saw. When cutting shapes, a jigsaw will be the easiest and most precise tool to use.

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.
